Christian Rods and Customs

Christian Rods and Customs We're an international network of local chapters for hot rod and custom car enthusiasts. Our mission is to spread the good news of the gospel.

Why a Christian Car Club? We believe the question you should be asking is "Why not". Although our members are all avid auto enthusiasts, they truly believe the car owner is more valuable than the car. It's all about people, genuine friendship, faith, family and being there for each other. It's about purposely living out the great commission which is to spread the good news of what Christ has done to change lives for all eternity.

Friday’s 5-hour trip up the coast to Santa Maria was uneventful, as was the trip back home. Most of the road construction through Santa Barbara is completed. Those that have made this trip will know what a blessing that is. After getting our credentials, we checked into our hotel and went to dinner. Then, we participated in the City Cruise.

Saturday morning, we put up the Church Service Banner, checked out the cars and caught up with friends and acquaintances. Margaret and I then visited the car clubs for prayer requests. Included is a picture of me and this ministry. The clubs look forward to us making these rounds. Late in the afternoon we found out that our car had been picked as one of the TOP 2 STREET RODS of the show.

That evening, we joined the Sunday Chapel Service praise band rehearsal at Lifeway Fellowship Church. We know the pastor and he offered his church and sound tech for the praise band’s use. They also provided the drummer for our Sunday Chapel Service. The praise team came from Kingman Arizona but their drummer couldn’t make the trip.

Sunday morning, we arrived early and helped set up the sound system. As last year we had the full show system and the show tech for the church service. The sound was great. Chaplain Jerry Foster from “Racers for Christ” brought the message. We included a picture of Jerry standing at the RFC booth.

After the service we continued visiting until the awards were given out, then headed home.

The Christian Rods and Customs New Mexico chapter participated in the Park in the Park car show held each year in Rio Rancho. Check out a highlight of some of the rods and customs that showed up. Images marked A, B and C are the CR&C cars.

Car shows and churches do go together. It's a great way to spread the gospel. Try it, you may like it.
