Last night we were privileged to host the Oklahoma Academy ”Earthly Trials, Present Peace” Program featuring a chorale, Bells and String Ensemble. It was an hour of praise and worship through music! These young people have been traveling throughout Texas with this inspiring performance. Our church provided a vegan dinner for these intrepid “harvesters” prior to the show, and while we didn’t have the turn out we had hoped for the audience was definitely appreciative! Stay tuned... our little church is making plans to engage our community with events that will educate, inspire, and give Glory to Our Lord and Savior!

This last week the SDA church in Victoria hosted Messiah's Mansion: a “to-scale” replica of the Mosaic Sanctuary that the Hebrews built after their Exodus from Egypt. Israel’s earthly sanctuary/temple was a “miniature representation” of the heavenly original, and was constructed with God’s specific instruction; is the embodiment of the Immanuel principle—“God with us” (Isa. 7:14)

Several members of our church went to visit the exhibit, whose volunteers do a wonderful job explaining the timeless importance of its function, and the salvational message of all its elements, from the linen curtains to the incense and shewbread - how everything points directly to Christ. Per the Adventist Review: "The sanctuary doctrine focuses upon Jesus in the sanctuary, including (1) His atoning work on the cross, which functions as the sacrificial altar of the heavenly sanctuary (see Heb. 13:10); (2) His heavenly ministration of intercession for us (Heb. 7:25); and (3) His work of vindicating His people during the pre-Advent judgment (Dan. 7:22). If we really want to focus upon Jesus, then we need to concentrate on where Jesus is now, applying the benefits of His atoning work on Calvary for us personally in the heavenly sanctuary (Heb. 7-10).

If you have the opportunity, we encourage you to visit… it takes about an hour for the tour and like the original sanctuary, this one moves around! So it may come to a town near you!
