Joseph has been testing his brothers and he finally reaches the point where he knows they have repented. They have changed for the better and now they are being told that the Egyptian man they have been dealing with is their brother Joseph. As you can imagine it is a very emotional time.

Have you ever been tested? If you have been school at any time, you are probably well aware of tests. In todays lesson we find that Joseph is testing his brothers. At this time they don’t know that this is the brother they sold into slavery 21 years ago. He is testing them to seen if they have changed or are they as bad as before. God tests us too and Pastor Troy goes into more detail about how that works. Unlike our old school test, God is actually helping us to see our faults before it’s too late. God’s testing will save your life for all eternity if you let Him.

The story of Joseph and his brother continues this Sunday. Chapter 43 is an emotional chapter as we see Joesph is beginning to understand that his brothers are not the same boys/men that sold him off into slavery. But at this point they still don't know that the man they are dealing with is their brother. This chaper is also where Joseph's dream for 20 years ago comes true.

Joseph sees his brother again and he purposely treats them roughly. He recognized them but they still don'y know it their brother. They think it is just another Egyptian. Joseph requires to take on more tasks because he wants to know if they have changed for the better. We will see how things work out since Joseph has the upper hand.

Joseph is in charge of getting Egypt ready for the draught and because of this he meets his brothers again, the one's that sold him into slavery, but they don't recognize him. How would you react finally seeing some of your family now depending on you to help them? Pastor Troy brings out the finer points of this. Just remember, God is always in charge.

Joseph is picked to get Egypt ready for the time of plenty and then the time of famine. Pharaoh trusted Joseph enough to put him in charge and the only one over his is Pharaoh himself. So Joseph is now an Egyptian, with and Egyptian wife and children. Does he give up on his heritage as an Israelite, after all his brothers treated him badly and sold him into slavery. Now he is wealthy, a man of prestige who could easily take revenge. So Just what does Joseph do? Pastor Troy will fill you in on how Joseph handles fame and fortune.

Sometimes your on top of the world … and sometimes it’s on to of you! As our study of Joseph continues, It seems he has been having very difficult times, but God is watching over him and blessing him. At this point we see a miraculous turn of events for him. After he interprets Pharaoh’s dreams and tells him how to best handle it he becomes the second most powerful man in Egypt and only Pharaoh himself is higher. WOW, talk about a change of direction. But this could lead to another problem of his own making. Pastor Troy will cover this in today’s sermon. HINT, the problem is what Joseph might become in the long run.

In this section of Scripture we see Joseph finally getting out of prison and will meet face to face with Pharaoh. God's gift to Joseph, the ability to interpret dreams, will become a major event in his life and even the many countries that are around Egypt. We also see God's timing of all there events and why we need to be patient when praying for God and Jesus's work in our lives.
