Join us over Google Meet for an enlightening discussion with Catherine Berry.

We are magicians of the Logos, the Divine Word, but we often use words carelessly. One example is the word magick itself. Crowley goes to great lengths to show that it applies to all changes effected in accord with Will, yet all too often we limit its use to that thing we do in a temple while yelling at the walls in dead languages.

This talk will explore the relationship between ritual and magick, and show how each helps us to perfect the other.

Catherine Berry joined Ordo Templi Orientis in 1987. She has held a variety of leadership positions in the Order, at the local level (Master of Baphomet Lodge and Deputy Master of LVX Oasis, among others), the national level (Bishop of EGC, member of the Grand Tribunal, USGL Internet Secretary), and the international level. Despite the appearance of leading an entirely virtual existence, she does occupy a physical body in Los Angeles, where she lives with her wife Leanne. Among her personal areas of research are the role of humor in magick and the culture and philosophy of the ancient Aztecs.

Thank you to everyone who attended last night's Invocation of the Aeon ritual. It was lovely to see new and familiar faces!
And a warm congratulations to Star Sapphire Oasis' new Local Body Master, who was inaugurated last night by the powers of the New Aeon. We are excited for this new era and what the future holds!

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Join us on Friday, August 21 at Star Sapphire Oasis for a ritual inaugurating our new Body Master.

Based on a ritual designed and presented by a Brother at the last NOTOCON, we will be invoking the Aeon as represented by the card in the Thoth tarot deck. This ritual takes influence from Liber CC###I, or Liber Arcanorum, a Holy Book of Thelema.

There will be camaraderie afterwards, so please bring snacks or drinks to share if you are so inclined!

Doors will be open at 7:30pm, and we will begin at 8pm. There is a $15 suggested donation, which is payable in person in cash, or on our Paypal, Zelle, or Venmo - all accounts link to [email protected].

Join us this Wednesday 8/12 in person at Star Sapphire for TAE KWON DO: Self-Defense and Mysticism! This is a beginner level introduction to self-defense in the tradition of Tae Kwon Do, with focus on the mysticism involved in the martial art and how it relates the Thelemic principles.

Join us over Google Meet OR in-person at Star Sapphire for a continuing discussion of Gematria. Gematria is a numeric system derived from the Qabalah, an ancient Hebrew school of mysticism. Each letter of the Hebrew alphabet correlates to a numeric value. Letters, words, and phrases that share the same sum are thought to hold a mystic connection.

We will continue our focus on the three Qabalistic Veils of Negativity: Ain, Ain Soph, and Ain Soph Aur as described in Table 2 from Liber 777 (Hebrew Names of Numbers and Letters). Accompanied by original hexagonal artwork, some concepts in this discussion may be advanced, but practitioners at any level are welcome to attend.
