Make plans to attend: tomorrow! (Thursday, May 7th, 2026) @ the LaBelle Civic Center for the National Day of Prayer, breakfast in LaBelle 6-7am
The 2026 theme encourages us to unite and pray to, “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations.”
“National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.”
The desire to pray for wisdom in forming our Nation, (publicly), may trace back to:
“June 1775, when the Continental Congress appointed… a committee to draft “a resolve” naming July 20 that year ‘as a day of humiliation, fasting, and prayer.’”*
Since then, the call for prayer has continued through our history.
Let us Glorify God, and Seek Him.
