Silver Spur Ministry Hebrews 10: 24
And Let Us Consider How We May Spur One Another On Toward Love and Good Deeds

You Are Forgiven

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22–23, ESV).

But He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. -2 Corinthians 12:9A (NIV)

The Scripture tells us that God’s mercies are new every morning. This is such a comforting thing to read over and let soak into your heart, because it means that we can enter His presence every day, unashamed of what we did the day before. God is so gracious, and He wants to show that side of Himself to you today!

Look Up

Keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You (Psalm 25:20, NKJV).

Isn’t it interesting that when we’re ashamed we naturally look down at the ground?

God wants you to look up! There is no reason to live ashamed and guilty, afraid to come into the presence of the Lord. We serve a relational, loving God who wants you to know that you don’t need to look down anymore.

Look up to the Lord who has open arms for you. He knows every second of your past and your future, and He is so in love with you. You have access to a life FULL of joy and laughter; all you need to do is look up!

Better Together

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them” (Matthew 18:20).

We aren’t meant to go through life alone.

This life journey is long. It is full of joy but also sorrow, and that is why the Lord created us to live connected to one another and pouring into each other.

Personally, I always find it beneficial to be surrounded by godly people who can encourage me, while also holding me accountable. Today, I’m praying that you, too, would find this kind of group to cling to if you haven’t already.

I am confident that as you commit to life groups, Bible studies and deep friendships, you will realize that we are all better together.

How's Your Heart?

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

God is a protector. He will hold your heart close to His and protect it all the days of your life. This can be a difficult thing to wrap your mind around, especially if you’ve been hurt by people close to you.

So, how’s your heart? Are there parts of your life that you don’t want to open up about, certain pains and heartaches that you’re hoping God will just ignore? He is not a Father who will ignore the issue, nor One who will open the wound without care, but One who wants to heal you!

Let your walls down today and let Him in. This is where true intimacy with the Lord begins and where you will learn more about Him and the grace He so freely offers.

Be Caring

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32, NASB).

Value others above yourself!

There are so many things you can choose to be today; I hope you’ll choose to be caring, just as Jesus was for the lost and brokenhearted He encountered.

Purpose in Your Position

God had a plan and a purpose for your life before you were even created. Before your mom and dad ever even thought about you, God had already lined up each of your steps and chosen you for your specific calling.

Taking all of that into consideration, I think it’s safe to say that we have a purpose for our lives each day.

God created you to make an impact, but it is not a one-and-done thing or even a wait-and-see thing. Wherever you are right now, there is purpose for it. Even if it isn’t what you pictured or what you wanted, He has a good purpose, and as you trust Him, I believe you’re going to see Him move in some incredible ways!

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8–9).

Teaming Up

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! (Psalm 133:1).

How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity! Psalm 133:1

It sometimes feels like every generation and every kind of person is against the other nowadays. But this is the work of the enemy, and we must work to fight it. The Lord honors unity and takes delight in us when we are an example of love and compassion to all people of every age.

You're Enough

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well (Psalm 139:14).

This world is full of beautiful people. But have you ever noticed how, instead of being able to cheer others on, we allow their beauty and success to drive us to insecurity?

My friend, I want to tell you today that you are enough.

You are enough just the way you are. Created in the image of God, destined for purpose, loved by the Savior — yes, you are enough.

God is so pleased with you!

I hope the next time you’re scrolling through social media or flipping through the channels on your TV, you will champion others on and get giddy at just how unique and beautiful God made YOU!

Come to the Fountain

They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light (Psalm 36:8–9).

Jesus is the satisfier of all your thirsts. Whatever it is that you are looking at or dreaming of, in hopes of a better life, know that He is the only thing that will still and satisfy a yearning soul.

In Him is the fountain of life, and He is offering it to you today.

Even as born-again Christians we can sometimes forget that He is all we need. I want to remind you today that putting your faith in the Lord will bring life and life abundantly, and NOTHING else will.

Lean into Him this week.

Created for Forever

“If someone dies, will they live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait for my renewal to come. You will call and I will answer you; you will long for the creature your hands have made” (Job 14:14–15).

God is looking at you today, thankful for the things you have done on the earth and excited for what is to come, just as you should be.

You can look forward to each day you’re given on this planet and be joyful in all that you do. He has made you to go and fulfill your destiny, loving people and doing good all along the way.

This is not the end, but the beginning of forever! And you have so much more potential in you to do something miraculous with your eternity.

Renewed Day by Day

Healthy Things Grow, and Growing Things Change!

As we get older, we gain knowledge, experience, and so much more. But I think there comes a point when we start to forget the beauty in the process of aging and growth.

This is why I love 2 Corinthians 4:16. It says, Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

The Lord is renewing your heart and soul day by day! Because of this, you can rejoice in the Father and His process, knowing that each day you are growing closer to Him.

Tell Your Story

Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story — those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south (Psalm 107:2–3).

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 50:20

Sometimes we underestimate the power of our own testimonies, unaware that our neighbor could be walking through those very circumstances right now … unaware that coming alongside them to say, “Me too, friend. But now I’ve been redeemed!” could quite literally alter the very existence of their life forever!

Give the Holy Spirit room today to reveal when He wants you to share an encouraging word, the Gospel or your story. God desires to release His light, love and grace through you!
