Konawa First Pentecostal Holiness Church has a new pastor, Pastor Gary Akerman. Jody and I were privileged to serve in that capacity for the last three years and learned to love every one of you splendid people and we part company with seriously conflicted emotions. Our reason for resigning is simple indeed: living and working so far from Konawa, limited our ability to properly minister to the church and community and it pleases me to see you all in the capable hands of a man who can do what I could not because of my limitations. You will forever be in our hearts. Please keep us in yours and in your prayers. Love and best wishes for you all.

HEY, stop what you’re doing and listen to this:........

You will never guess what is happening at Konawa IPHC. WE ARE STILL MEETING EVERY SUNDAY FOR WORSHIP!! One of the best teachers I have had the privilege of sitting under (Susan Morris) teaches our Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. and the lesson is followed by a blessed time of worship and fellowship at 11:00.

You may not know it but we have been missing you. Oh....We don’t know you? That can be corrected quickly and it would be our delight to make you a part of our gathering. You will be loved and appreciated and in these days those are two very powerful things we wish to share with you.

So, why not make it this Sunday? When you walk through the door, you will be home.

We’re easy to find! We’re located across the street from the High School on N Konawa in Konawa. Blessings and more blessings!

Your friend and pastor,
Ronald Gadberry

Our prayer is God please heal our land and give us peace!! We should ask ourselves what can I do to help the situation? It seems overwhelming and like what can we do? We can start in our own circle of influence and spread joy and kindness and do things for the unfortunate, teach our children to be kind and loving . We can pray for our leaders and our nation!

Very sad day yesterday, we lost another one of our precious ladies in our church Sis Frankie Cockran. I had just spoken with her the night before and she wasn’t feeling well her back was hurting. We got the prayer chain going and the very next day she went to be with Jesus. No more pain for her. We will miss her.
Her funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 at the church. She can be seen at the Konawa funeral home Tuesday 11:00 - 7:00. Since we can’t have a dinner we are going to have food for Sherrie to take home with her. She ask please to put what ever you bring please put it in something that she doesn’t have to return. Thank you church I know you will do well!!

Church, we have missed being with you and worshiping all together. We have had church with some of you, some have chosen to wait and we respect that. We want you to be comfortable when you come. We will be so glad when this is behind us.
In going forward let’s not forget how precious our time to worship together is to us. We pray that this time will have left us more dedicated to the cause of Christ and we will be there for those who need us.
It’s our desire to show the love of Jesus in everything we do. Let’s encourage everyone we come in contact with that He meaning Jesus Christ is the answer to all our problems. He told us in His word to cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us we stand on that word. God Bless! Hope to see you in service tomorrow.
We will have adult Sunday School. Kids are welcome but for now they will set with their parents. Hopefully that will change soon.

Church, we miss you , can’t wait to shake your hand and hug your neck and be able to see your face.
We will never take it for granted again will we?
We are so looking forward to being able to worship together again. In the mean time we are
studying the word, listening to lots of many other ministers.
I truly hope that our lives will be changed when this over but that will be up to each of us.
I feel in my spirit that God is up to something and I want to be a part don’t you?
God help us to do everything we can to help others and check on our church family. We can use our phones, send cards and just encourage everyone during this hard time.
Please if you can, remember the church with your tithes and offerings. Our bills will still come even if we are not there. You can send them to the 126 N Konawa st. We will pick them up and make the deposit.
God bless you is our every day prayer and we also ask the Lord to cover you with His protection!!
We love you and can’t wait to see you again.
