Perspective - "True understanding of the relative importance of things."
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Cor 4:17-18
-If we woke and found an elephant sitting on our chest our perspective of our current reality would be consumed with the grey mass crushing us. Our focus would not be on the bigger picture of why it was in my room or where it came from. In our distress we probably could care less what its needs were or if there was a greater reason for it to be there. Our eyes are fixed on the momentary troubles weighing us down denying us the opportunity to see that there is no elephant in our future. When we measure the importance of our fleeting experiences do we try to understand them in the light of God's truth or our discomfort? If you are willing the Lord will bless the eyes of your heart to see what is truly before you.-
Lord, direct me throughout my journey so I can experience your plans for my life. Reveal the life-paths that are pleasing to you. Es**rt me along the way; take me by the hand and teach me. For you are the God of my increasing salvation; I have wrapped my heart into yours. Psa 25:4-5
