For my Christian friends making New Year's Resolutions----myself included:
Child training experts Michael & Debbie Pearl wrote the following poem called channel 23:

The TV is my shepherd, I shall not want anything else.
It maketh me to lie down on the sofa.
It leadeth me away from the Scripture.
It destroys my soul.
It leadeth me in the paths of s*x and violence for the sponsors sake.
Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will enjoy the evil, for blood and s*x, they excite me.
Its cable and remote, they comfort me.
It prepares a commercial before me in the presence of my children.
It anoints my head with humanism.
My coveting runneth over.
Surely laziness and ignorance shall follow my family all the days of our lives,
and we shall dwell in the house watching TV forever.

We the Amana missionary Baptist church send to all a happy and prosperous new year. We would like to thank each and everyone that participated through the past year to the prosperity of Amana church; in hopes, if you was not in regular attendance we would welcome you to start this coming Sunday the beginning of the new year, to make the coming year your service to the Lord and see the blessing the Lord holds in store for you.

"Look unto Me, and be ye saved all ye ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else" Isaiah 45:22
To "Look" in this manner is necessary for salvation to take place. In this command to "Look" is both repentance and faith toward the only saving God. Repenting is summed up in the total recognition of your wretched sinful nature that has condemned you and faith is an action of the soul gazing upon a saving God.
As the Spirit of God moved upon the waters in the creation and separated the water from the land, so does He today move and show your separation from the Lord.....LOOK unto God today and be saved, your eternal Life depends on it...

Dear Christian,
When you get so disheartened with the way the world is going, remember that for 120 years Noah was a preacher of righteousness while the Ark was being prepared....keep your mind on the work of God and not on the work of the world. A sinner will always act like a sinner and will not change until their heart is made new by the salvation only God offers them by and through Jesus Christ. As Noah occupied his life in the work given him by the Lord, let us follow the same pattern of faithfulness. From dust thou art, to dust thou shalt return, so in the mean time, let's do works that will last forever.

"The heavens declare the glory of God..."Psalms 19:1
The apostle Paul spoke of the third heaven being paradise (2 Corth 12). In Job 38 God speaks of the creation of the firmament and the cosmos. All that can be seen declares (tell us) about the Glory (that which has weight, mass, heaviness - presence made known by awareness) of God.
We see a beautiful sunrise or sunset and marvel at its uniqueness and note to ourselves what a painting by the Master! We experience the weight of His presence as He desires you to see His handy work and acknowledge the intelligent design in creation. The stars cycle in their patterns of days, months, years and season and a balance is seen in its consistency. You see, there are two volumes written by the same author,
One is nature's book that is seen, the other is the word of God that is written but spiritually discerned. They do not conflict or negate themselves but are wonderfully harmonized as a symphony by the creator who orchestrates them both to convince you of His power, strength, gentleness, love and mercy. These attributes are available to you as the glorious breeze coming off the ocean on a warm summer day or the sight of watching the water fowl raise their young on instinct given by only one, the Lord God. Read the scriptures and experience the creation volume on a daily basis to garner in the whole picture of the glory of God.

"And God called unto Adam, and said unto him,
Where art thou?"
Genesis 3:9
God did not ask this question to find Adam, but for Adam to question where he was in relationship to God.
Notice that God came looking for Adam; God initiated the contact not Adam. For Adam had sinned and was hiding from God but the grace of God was exercised in calling out to Adam, bringing the good news of reconciliation through the one who would crush the head of the father of lies, that old devil, but bruise his heel in the process of freeing all that would come by repentance and faith when God by the Spirit reveals to them their sin.
So, where are you? Are you wondering in sin just hoping to find the right thing to fill that hole in your heart? Come to the Lord in your filthy rags of sin and cry for mercy to the one who let you know you sinned. He in no wise will reject or turn you away. Bring your broken heart to him and he will cleanse you, fill you with the peace that accompanies forgiveness, your filthy rags will be replaced with his righteous robe. Adam did not deserve forgiveness and neither do we but God commended his love toward us that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
So, where art thou?

There are a few things I would like to say about righteousness when I started to study the fervent prayers of a righteous man, I need to know if I qualify as been a righteous man not on the grounds as other men talk righteousness but what did God considered the righteousness of man when I was satisfied on the Bible principles about righteousness then I contended to offering the fervent prayers of a righteous man to God. James 5:16 King
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
