Dear Bethany Members and Friends,
In our worship tomorrow (10 a.m.) we seek to learn what the apostle Paul learned, and what Jesus wanted people to learn when He told the story of "The Two Sons" (sometimes called the parable of "The Prodigal Son"). We will see how and why Saul of Tarsus declared himself an enemy of Jesus, and we will see what changed him from zealously persecuting the Church to zealously persecuting the gospel. When we find out what God's love really means, everything changes!
In our midweek chapel service this week (Wednesday 6 p.m.) we will observe the September 2 commemoration of Hannah. She was a woman who suffered great sorrow and was misunderstood, but God had a plan for her life. May we too learn from the example of Hannah in faithfulness and in thanksgiving! Also, as of now, we plan as often as possible to offer a livestream of Wednesday chapel services.
Also, coming up on Sunday the 13th, it is time once again for Bethany's annual picnic! After the service, we will enjoy lunch (freewill offering) and fun and games. You can look forward to Bingo, kids' games, a bounce house, prizes for everyone, and lots of food and koinonia!
Summer Blessings,
Pastor Azor
