He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth – the LORD God Almighty is his name.
-Amos 4:13

The middle/high school homeschool community enjoyed a brisk, beautiful and fun hike on Pillar Mountain this past Friday. We foraged for lingonberries, ran, jumped, told stories and thoroughly enjoyed God’s creation. 😁.

Little people, great deeds.
I have chosen Mr. Baggins and that ought to be enough for all of you …..There is a lot more in him than you guess, and a deal more than he has any idea of himself. ~The Hobbit, chapter 1

Every Wednesday the KBM campus explodes with tiny and not so tiny humans as they explore, play, and learn about God ‘s calling on their lives through playing in nature and following the story of the Hobbit. It’s amazing to see all that happens each week! We all have Godly potential and it is so great to be learning that at a young age!

Mark your calendars!

Open House! Tonight (Thursday, September 10) from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the KBM Heritage Center.

Our middle & high school homeschool crew is kicking off next week, and we’re so excited!

In its third year, this is a great way for students to connect, learn, and grow together.

We’ll cover everything from history, Bible, and science to cooking, welding, and mechanics and it’s always fun to learn with friends. Plus, we cap off the week with a fun hike or activity.

This year, Makenna Collicott and Cindy Jones are leading the charge!

If you’d like to learn more or you’re excited to start the new year stop by and say hi!

Today was the first day of our full family homeschool co-op. This is the first of its kind for Kodiak, and we have been blown away by how God has pulled it all together! We have 25 families and 61 children registered this semester!

We ended the first day with a hobbit themed tea party during our family hour. Over the next 10 weeks, we will explore The Hobbit together, go on nature walks, and get involved in the community through service projects.

It takes a lot of additional work to have a camp on another island. Thankfully we have an incredible crew of volunteers up for the challenge and cheerfully help make things happen so that so many can enjoy our little piece of paradise at Camp Woody.
