A place to gather. A place to learn. A place to connect.

The KAFCAM Conference serves as a one stop gathering for foster families, adoptive families, kinship caregivers, agencies, and community partners across Knoxville. It was created to encourage, equip, and support families caring for children.

Some attendees come as a first step, simply exploring foster care or adoption and looking for honest information. Others have been fostering for years and are seeking continuing education hours, practical training, or renewed encouragement.

Whether you are just beginning to ask questions or have been walking this road for a long time, this conference was designed with care for you.

Join us this spring for foster parent training, community support, and meaningful connection with others who understand the journey.

You could provide a safe and secure temporary or permanent home for 1 child or 40 for 1 night or forever. It all matters.

Meet the Patrick family.

Since 2019, they have opened their home to more than 40 children who were in foster care. In May 2025, their fostering journey shifted as they adopted three daughters.

Every foster and adoptive family has a unique story. Some seasons involve short term care. Some lead to permanency through adoption. Each season requires support, education, and community.

The KAFCAM Conference brings together families like the Patricks alongside agencies, ministries, adult adoptees, former foster youth, and professionals who care deeply about children and families involved in foster care.

If you are currently fostering, considering foster care, exploring adoption, or serving as a kinship caregiver, this conference was created with care for you.

Join us for foster parent training, community connection, and practical learning.

We’re not all called to foster or adopt, but we can all do something.

Advocacy begins with understanding. When communities are informed and connected, families are better supported and children experience greater stability.

The KAFCAM 2026 Adoption & Foster Care Conference exists to create space for education, listening, and shared responsibility. Whether you are directly involved in foster care and adoption or simply seeking to learn how to support families well, this day offers meaningful insight and practical next steps.

Join us on Saturday, March 21, from 8:30 AM–4:00 PM at Fellowship North Church in Knoxville.

In the words of Judge Irwin “Bobcats have big hearts!”

We see you Fountain City!

Community matters in foster care.

Each spring, the KAFCAM Conference intentionally rotates to different areas of Knoxville because foster and adoptive families are serving children throughout our city. This year, we are gathering in Fountain City to celebrate and support the many families in that community.

We know that current foster parents and adoptive parents are often the ones who help others take their first step. A personal invitation, a shared conversation, or learning together can make a meaningful difference.

If you are fostering, considering foster care, exploring adoption, or caring for a child you already know, this conference was created with you in mind. It is a space for foster parent training, honest questions, and practical support.

Join us in Fountain City and be part of a community that values learning, connection, and thoughtful care for children and families.

If the word conference feels overwhelming, we understand.

The KAFCAM Conference is not a pressure-filled event where you are expected to make a decision about fostering or adoption. It is not a place where you sign on the dotted line.

It is a space created for honest questions, thoughtful conversations, and clarity.

You can talk with foster families, kinship caregivers, adoption agencies, and ministries. You can learn from people who have lived this experience. You can explore which agency or organization feels like the right fit before making any commitments.

This is a space to gather information, connect with real people, and move at a pace that feels responsible and informed.

If you are considering foster care, adoption, or supporting children who are in foster care, this conference was created with care for you.
