"There's A Record Book by Larry Whitehead" - Only "I've Found A Faithful Friend" has affected me as much in recent yrs. like this song when I first heard it four yrs. ago by Rhonda Vincent. I had not heard it before, but learned that The Primitives (Primitive Quartet) recorded it first in 2010, whom I got to know yrs. ago when they sang at The McKameys Hometown Sing when I pastored the church where it was held. I recently recorded this acoustic only version (Roger Fortner playing guitar) on July 25, 2024 for A Fresh Start. Roger also produced for me a full instrumentation version of the song with the talented Bluegrass instrumentalist, Dave Johnson, who plays a variety of instruments, playing fiddle on the song. I plan to record it the next time I tape new programs of A Fresh Start.
