Today was a good day, and I’m so thankful. 💛
Martha ate a decent breakfast, and we were able to get some therapy in this morning. We also went to see Alex (Jeremy’s Clinic Partner @ the Dr Office). They did some blood work and encouraged her to keep pushing herself to eat more—especially things like ice cream, shakes, and other higher-fat foods she can tolerate. That’s something we’ve already been working on, and we’ll continue to do so.
He’s also going to connect her with a health advisor to help guide us further. We talked about the dizziness, and he said the glasses should help, but we have to remember that this is her brain healing—and that takes time. It’s not like the outside of our bodies; healing isn’t always something we can see, but God is still working.
As for the headaches and cough, there are limited options because of her current medication, but we’re trusting God through this part, too.
Now for the blessing of the day—she weighed in at 99 pounds this morning, and the doctor confirmed the same. She’s gained a pound since last Thursday, and that may seem small, but to me, it’s a BIG win! 🙌
We’re choosing to celebrate every step forward. God is faithful in the little and the big, and we trust He will continue to strengthen Martha day by day. Thank you all for your prayers—please keep them coming as we walk into the rest of this week with hope and faith. 🙏✨
As we step into a new day tomorrow, we place everything in the Lord’s hands. Martha has a dermatologist appointment at 10:50 and therapy at 1:00, and we trust that God is already going before her, preparing the way.
We pray that the Lord continues to guide every doctor, every therapist, and every hand that cares for Martha. May He grant them wisdom, compassion, and clarity in every step they take.
For the rest of this week, let us hold onto God’s promises. Even in the waiting, He is working. Even in the unknown, He is faithful. May His peace cover Martha and all those surrounding her care, and may His strength carry us through each moment.
Let this be a reminder that we are never alone—God’s presence walks with us, His love sustains us, and His grace is more than enough
