In a world full of noise, God still speaks.

Tonight we reflected on 1 Kings 19 and were reminded that God wasn’t found in the wind, the earthquake, or the fire, but in a still, small voice. A whisper.

This is so important to remember with the volume of the other voices we surround ourselves with today.

Social media, news, opinions, and constant notifications compete for our attention every day. The loudest voices aren’t always the ones we should follow or be influenced by. Sometimes, we have to quiet the noise and listen closely for what God wants to do in our lives.

Remember that the enemy works hard to distract us and pull us further from God, requiring us to slow down and seek Him, His voice brings peace, direction, and truth.

Be intentional about tuning out the noise from distractions and lean in to hear God’s voice. He’s still speaking. Are you listening?

Instead of depending on your own ability to succeed this year through New Year’s resolutions, place your trust in the One who will never fail you.

“Come and see.”

These simple words were Jesus’ response when He was asked where He was staying, and they became the answer to skepticism about whether anything good could come from Nazareth.

It wasn’t an argument or a list of expectations, it was an invitation.

This year, don’t just try harder. Come and see what happens when you grow your relationship with God and let Him do the work in you!
