Jesus was unequivocal in saying that to understand marriage and the sexual union, we must go back to the beginning and see how God created humanity and to what end. (See Matthew 19 and Mark 10.)

Jesus holds up the creation story in Genesis not as a quaint Sunday school lesson, but as authoritative — reminding us that God created each of us male and female, each for the other. And the sexual union that God created and ordains is for husband and wife to come together in physical union, one flesh.

Each reference in scripture where Jesus quotes Genesis 2:24 (a MAN shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his WIFE, and they shall become one flesh), Jesus affirms the truth that there is only one marriage under God - one man, one woman.

Verses of the Day OT Genesis 38:16-20 NT Matthew 3:16-17

And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me? And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it? And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him. And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood. And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman's hand: but he found her not.”

Judah asked for his Daughter in law Tamer for him to go into her and he didn’t know that she was his daughter in law she asked what he will give her he said of his flock she asked what she will give to her until thee he said signet bracelet and staff and when he sent the kid by Adullamite he couldn’t find her

Verses Of The Day OT GENESIS 38:11-15 NT Matthew 3:11-15

“Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father's house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house. And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah's wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite. And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep. And she put her widow's garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife. When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.”

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.”

OT thought Judah Tamar to remain in his son Shelah was but as we shall see later he was lying and Tamer live father and Judah wife died and he was comforted and he went unto his sheepshearers and Tamar was behold your father-in law has gone unto Timnath to shear his sheep put thy widow garments and she covered her face and went out Judah lied and Judah saw and thought she was a harlot

John the Baptist said that he baptized with water unto repentance but one comes who shoes he is in worthy to bear but he baptized with the Holy Ghost and Fire and his Hands thoroughly purged his floor and gathered the w**d and burn the chaff with an unquenchable fire then Jesus came to be baptized by him and John the Baptist forbad saying he must be baptized by Jesus and Jesus said suffer it be so now to fulfill all righteousness

And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.”

Judah took for er his first born but he was wicked in the sight of the Lord so the Lord slew him so Judah told his second son Onan to marry him and raise up seed he knew that he would not be the air therefore he spilled his seed on the ground and he displeased the Lord slew him also

And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood; and they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son's coat or no. And he knew it, and said, It is my son's coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces. And Jacob rent his clothes and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days. And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him. And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.”

They took Joseph's coat, rent it into pieces, killed a kid goat, and dipped his coat into the blood. They asked if this was his son's coat, and Jacob said yes, a wild animal had killed him and he rent his clothes and mourned many days and his son tried to comfort him but Joseph was sold unto Potiphar an officer of Pharaoh and captain of the guard

Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt. And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph was not in the pit; and he rent his clothes. And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go?”

Judah said what should they profit by slaying our brother let’s sale the Ishmeelites and they sold him for 20 pieces of silver this of what Jesus Christ was sold as in the NEW TESTAMENT

And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him. And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.”

“Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, In Rama was there a voice heard, Lamenitation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, And would not be comforted, because they are not. But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.”

Joseph brothers went to Dothan when they saw him wanted to kill and says a wild beast killed we must Love love ourbrothers and sisters even if they make us angry

Herod fulfilled prophecy by the prophet her Jeremy great voices and lamentation and mourning and weeping and Rachel weeping for her Children and she would not be comforted and Herod was God told Joseph to return to Israel those that seeks the children life is dead
