He is a loving, caring, compasionate Pastor who you can count on to be there when you need him. He (along with the whole Church) believes in the power of prayer. Bearden Gospel is a WORSHIPING Church, where you will hear and see people Praising the Lord. You might see a hand raised, hear AMEN!!, see someone take off running, and even babies thrown (ok maybe not that) but we believe in lifting the
name of The Lord up. The Church was formed in the 1960's and has been on Walden Dr. the whole time, just different location's. The original Church was a SMALL "Shotgun" building that was burned down following a Wedding only to be rebuilt. As the Church began to grow the need for a larger building was needed. The 3rd version of Bearden Gospel was built about 200ft from it's original location and still stand there today. There have been many Precious Memories, Services, Gatherings, Fellowships, and Singing held at the Church. Every year we have our Annual Homecoming Singing/Dinner on the 2nd Sunday in July. A few Gospel groups were formed out of the Church, The Bearden Quartet, Singing Witnesses, & Mercy Three. The Quartet travled for around 30 years singing across the nation, generating a very good following with a popular song "Lord I'm Coming Home." We INVITE EVERYONE to come and Worship with us: Sunday Morning w/ Sunday School @ 10AM, Worship Service @ 11AM, Sunday Night @ 6PM, & Wed. Night @ 7PM. We want you to feel welcomed and free to worship the Lord Jesus Christ.
