Announcements for the week of Jan. 25th:

🔹 Men 🔹

1) The Men’s Ministry Bible study is being moved to next week, Feb 3rd, due to weather. This is open to the youth and adult men of the church. You will be looking at the first three chapters of Romans this month. If you have any questions or need directions to Will’s house, please see him.

2) Saturday, Jan 31st at 8:30am, we will have a breakfast for all of our men of the church. Young men of the youth are also encouraged to come. This is a morning for ALL men of the church to come together and spend some time with each other and to great a special guest speak. Kevin Wilson will be here to talk about what it means to be a man in your life, your home, your marriage, and your church.

🔹 Women 🔹

1) Our next WMU meeting is Sunday, Feb 1st at 4pm. Mitzi Duncan will be there as our special guest of the month

2) We will have a special Valentines lunch for our senior ladies and shut in’s Feb 14th at noon. We are in need of a few volunteers to help. Please see Justin Weaver if you are able to help.

🔹Youth 🔹

1) DNOW is scheduled for February 27 - March 1 at Carson Springs. Will has registration forms and the medical release form. Cost this year is $60, but arrangements can be made if you need assistance with the registration fee. Will needs to have the names of all attending by Feb 8th. We also need chaperones. If you are willing to help, please let Will know.

2) Winter Jam is Feb 7th - any middle or high school student interested in going please let Jessie Wright know by Feb 1st. The cost is $15.

🔹 Other business 🔹

1) This week the sanctuary class will look at chapter 4 of our book, “Saved From What”.

2) The security team will have a meeting on Feb 8th at 3pm. We will have a guest speaker and their team from Salem to talk about ways to help improve our security.

We will have service at 2pm today. The roads leading to the church and the church driveway and parking lot are clear.

Please use your own discretion. If your area is not clear, please stay home and stay safe.

Church service is cancelled for in the morning. We are going to try to have a 2pm in person service depending on how much it warms up. Keep an eye on Facebook or your email for the decision on that.

Announcements:

1) The Halls community Thanksgiving service is tonight at Salem Baptist Church at 6pm. Choir members who plan to participate in the joint choir, please be there by 5pm for rehearsal.

2) There are no activities or service this Wednesday night, November 26th.

3) Brandy needs helpers with getting the church decorated and ready for Christmas. If you are able and willing to help, please reach out to her. She specifically needs someone who is able to hang Christmas lights on the front of the church. And a few people to help carry boxes of decorations up from downstairs.

Our church packed 716 shoeboxes yesterday for Operation Christmas Child! Thank you to everyone who took time out of their Sunday afternoon to come and help. 716 gospel opportunities to be sent around the world! ❤️ 💚

It’s time! This week we will be such a special week. Come and volunteer your time. It’s a great way to kick off your Christmas season by spreading Christmas joy and the love of Jesus with children around the world.

Connie and Brandy will be at church all week getting things ready for our packing party. Reach out and let them know when you would like to come help.

Our Trunk-or-Treat looked a little different this year with the rain. But we still had the best time. The kids got more candy than they could possibly eat all year. Thank you to everyone involved. Everyone who dressed up and gave out candy or volunteered in any other way. And everyone who came to enjoy the night with us.
