Jesus valued fellowship, friendship, speaking the truth in love, prayer, and doing the will of His Father. Jesus valued the worth of human life through His sacrificial death on the cross for all humanity. Jesus valued what He spoke and taught in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). As His followers, we share the same values that lead us to a blessed life and a life that others can replicate.

"To the church at Ephesus Paul writes with similar language.
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace" Ephesians 4:1-3 NLT).

 Our values help to keep the main thing the main thing.

 Our values help us navigate life’s changes and challenges; they keep us on course.

 Our values tell us what is important to us; they allow us to say “no” or to say “yes.”

 Our values speak to who we are more than what we do; they give us the confidence to move forward to make a difference in ourselves, and others.

 Our values are like the riverbank's boundaries for the river to stay its course or like the railroad track that keeps the train moving toward its destination.

 Our values will make or break an organization, a ministry, or a small group.

 Our values speak volumes about how we live, speak, and conduct our lives. It comes down to what is important to us.

Vine Life is about the vision and values that we carry in our hearts and in our spirits that we long to express in the company of a few others. Paul expresses it this way, "I yearn to come and be face-to-face with you and get to know you. For I long to impart to you some spiritual gift that will empower you to stand strong in your faith. Now, this means that when we come together and are side by side, something wonderful will be released. We can expect to be co-encouraged and co-comforted by each other’s faith! (Romans 1:11 TPT).

Vine Life Ministry has been a long time coming. It has been on my heart and mind and is now coming to fruition. I believe there is life in the vine. Jesus often spoke about the vine and the branches in John 15. Jesus is indeed the Vine of Life, and we are His branches producing the life of Jesus that others can see.
