Our deepest condolences are extended to Bob's family. He was a man of great faith and a dedicated member of St. Luke's. He was an exceptional leader of our church's youth, the church treasurer and financial leader for many years, and a dedicated choir member. Bob was a kind and gentle man, a devoted husband to Helen, and was loved by all.

Celebrate the life of Robert Large, leave a kind word or memory and get funeral service information care of Berry Highland Memorial.

Condolences are extended to the DeBusk family in the recent death of Betty. She was an excellent role model and leader for our United Methodist Women; Sunday School teacher, choir member, and member of many church committees. We could always count on Betty to lend a helping hand, come up with a good idea, provide a devotion, or lead a service. Know that she has been welcomed home by our Heavenly Father. -- Karen Fawver

Here is a thought. If former pastors or members are posting worship services or devotions during this time would you link it to our page to share with everyone? Thanks, Dennis

We had another welcoming visit last Sunday, this time at Emerald Ave. UMC where our past preacher, Dennis Loy, is stationed. All of our "group" was in attendance and it was great to be together. Good sermon, good music, and good people. And . . . we went to Central Filling Station for lunch, joined by Pastor Dennis and Ann. Got to catch up on how things are going with them.

This Sunday, Aug. 4, our printed schedule indicated that we would attend Emerald Ave. We got "off schedule" the first Sunday of July because Emerald Ave. had air conditioning problems. Since we just attended Emerald last week, I am suggesting that we have a "free pick Sunday." Revisit somewhere we have been or try something new. Kathy, Missy, and I will be attending Hillcrest UMC in South Knoxville (1615 Price Ave.) at 11:00. This is the church my grandmother attended and my uncle and aunt still attend. You are welcome to join us. To our "group" members, you are welcome to post here (or in our private message) where you will be attending so others can join you as we look for a place to call "Home." -- Karen Fawver
