Do prison visits matter? We sure think they do. Most of our mission teams go with us to the jail to pray for, take food and hygiene items, and share Christ with the men there. For the 5th time, a man left the jail and went straight to the rehab to get a new start in life. The group ministered to him on Thursday and he went immediately that afternoon upon release. One gentleman who did the same thing is in our church every Sunday. In fact, he arrives an hour early to sit in the sanctuary and pray. Thatā€™s just our awesome God, rewriting stories. Changing brokenness to LOVE.

Something very special is happening at the Learning Center, and it touches my heart to think about how much Elaine Curtis, who our center is named for ,would have loved it. Elaine has a special needs brother and she cared for him all through her life. Iā€™m so thankful to have the learning center building where we can help so many people, including those with special needs. There are very little resources for children with special needs in Honduras. Most school systems do not offer anything for them and so they have no school to attend. A teenager boy with special needs in our community is now getting one on one therapy with a precious lady who is trained and has background in this. His family is so excited for him to have education that is just for him.ā¤ļø
