DAY 25 CHALLENGE

Talk with your children about some of the great things you know Jesus did while he was here on earth. For example, you might talk about how Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, or you might share examples of how Jesus healed the sick.

Then ask your kids to think about the great things Jesus has done for them. Encourage your kids to talk about things such as Jesus protecting them from harm, Jesus forgiving their sins, or Jesus healing them from illnesses. Remind your kids that Jesus is just as active in doing great things today as He was when He physically walked the earth.

Talk with your children about a time you trusted God completely. Tell your children why you needed to trust God and what God did for you as a result of trusting Him.

Then allow your children to share any areas where they need to trust God. Maybe they’re worried about passing a class in school, or maybe they’re concerned about a relationship they have. Encourage your children to think about how trusting God can help in these situations.

Talk to your children about how much you love them and how important they are to you. You might even share with your children some details surrounding their births. For example, you might tell your children what you were thinking and feeling the first time you saw them. Or you might share about the moment you were proudest of each child.

Then talk with your children about how important they are to God. Let them know that God loves them and cares for them a million times more than you ever can. Encourage your kids to talk about what it means to them to know they’re loved that much.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗘
We live in such a noisy overwhelming world, filled with so many sounds that can drain us emotionally and spiritually. Many of us rarely have the opportunity to experience silence or to savor the quieter sounds of nature around us.

Today, invite your family to play the Silence Game. Have everyone be as still and quiet as possible for a minute or two and then ask them what they heard.

Talk about the sounds. Are they soft or loud? Are the sounds pleasant to hear or are they too noisy or overwhelming?

You may want to play three rounds of this game.

ROUND #1: Listen to the sounds around you (washing machine going through its cycle, the cat purring, traffic on the road, birds singing in the trees, or the sounds of rain tapping on a window, etc.)

ROUND #2: Listen to the sounds of your soul (your thoughts, feelings, worries, fears, excitement, boredom, etc.)

ROUND #3: Listen to the voice of God (tiny, quiet impressions inside of us)
