Mrs. Mattie Pearl Wilkerson age 81, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at her residence in Horse Cave, Kentucky. Mrs. Wilkerson was a member of Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her dogs, Lucky and Max, and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd "Nickie" Wilkerson; her parents, Martin and Nina Ballard; five brothers, Frankie, Richard, Johnny, Amos, and Teddy Ballard.
She is survived by two sons, Mitchell Davis (Carol) and Ricky Davis (Tracy); one daughter, Sandra Stinson (Charles "Bubba"); three brothers, Leonard (Brandy), Joe and Luke Ballard; three sisters, Martha Coomer (Danny), Zeba Thomas, and Brenda Vincent; six grandchildren, Jeremy Davis (Crystal), Krista Gordon (Justin), Brooke Davis, Melissa Smith (Cody), Bailey Davis-Shive (Cole), and Kaylee Stinson. 7 Great-Grandchildren; four step-children, Gina Crain, Debra Coats, Darryl Wilkerson, and Timmy Wilkerson; special cousin Gladys Rhinehart; and a host of neices and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 5-8 P.M. at Winn Funeral Home and from 9 A.M. - 2 P.M. Sunday at the Funeral Home.
The family gives special thanks to Kevin and Beverly Flowers for adopting Mattie's dogs Lucky and Max.
