We pray that those who mourn will be comforted.
Christians believe in resurrection and the restoration of creation -- to quote the Creed, "we hope of the resurrection of the dead" -- however, even Jesus wept when he was at his friend Lazarus's grave. We hope and we believe, but we still mourn.

A Ton of aid made it to the logistics company to ship to Cuba Yesterday. Friends United Meeting thanks Western Yearly Meeting, and the Carter family for generously donating to cover shipping cost.

Thanks also to all those who donated supplies -- which includes us at Raysville Friends Church. (This is more than the last two shipments combined.)

Thanks to Western Yearly Meeting and the Carter family we were able to deliver 2,000 lbs of food aid to Cuba!
