Arlington Christian Church to Host Community Thanksgiving.
Arlington Christian Church is preparing to host its annual Community Thanksgiving meal. This year’s meal will take place at the Arlington Elementary School on Sunday, November 3rd, beginning at noon. The meal is free and open to the public.
While the meal itself will include turkey and all the fixings, Arlington Christian Church is planning many other appetizing activities alongside the meal to celebrate the community.
Each year, the Church selects someone or something from the local community for special recognition. In past years, the Church has honored local educators, military, first responders, and community leaders. This year, the Church will be recognizing the Mahoney Valley Church Camp.
There will be a canned food collection at the door to help with local food ministries, including the Church’s own Blessings Box, which was placed behind the church several years ago and offers a place for the community to give and receive food—no questions asked.
Entertainment will be provided by the Rushville High school band.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Arlington Christian Church looks forward to serving this meal and celebrating it with the community.
Originally founded in 1835, Arlington Christian Church has been serving the community for nearly two centuries. The Church exists to win people to faith in Jesus Christ and commit them actively to the church. It seeks to help them grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ, that they may know and do His will. The Church works to unite all Christians behind the common task of building the kingdom of God.
