Arabian Viewpoint We desire to see the people of the Arabian Peninsula come to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Each week we share a story about the life of Arabians or information about the peninsula and life in it, along with a prayer request.

Visions and Dreams

Now Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers they hated him even more. Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said, “Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” Genesis 37: 5&9

Viewpoint: “Wait! I’ve seen that man!” Ali* said excitedly to his believing friend. “Read that again, please.” “Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow” (Revelation 1:12-14).
“I have seen that man in my dreams,” Ali said again. “He tells me to read the Bible.”

We know that God works through visions and dreams; we see examples of that in Joseph’s and John’s lives. God still works through visions and dreams today. As Muslims have shared their faith journeys, many have talked about having visions or dreams of Jesus or God the Father directing them to read the Bible. They've also told of times in their lives when they have earnestly asked God to reveal Himself to them, and God has done so through visions or dreams.
* Story based on real-life situations

Prayer point:
Pray that Arabians will desire to truly seek God and that God will reveal Himself to them.
Pray that more Arabians will have visions and dreams of Jesus or God the Father, directing them to read the Bible for themselves.
Pray that many Arabians’ hearts will be open to accepting that Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life.

The Flood

Viewpoint: “Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.” – Genesis 6:9 ESV

"Oh yes, we know the prophet Nuh [Noah]," an Arabian would tell you. "He was a messenger sent from Allah and perfect, just like all the other messengers from Allah." The Quran's version of Noah differs from the Biblical Narrative. The Biblical Narrative reveals the sinfulness of all people, demonstrates God's grace amidst His judgment, and foreshadows Jesus' redeeming work. In contrast, Muslims believe that Noah was perfect and that he directed his people to do good works and be good people to be accepted by Allah. Arabians would benefit from hearing the Biblical Narrative of Noah, understanding how human sin separates us from God, and learning how Noah's story points toward the Gospel.

Prayer points: Pray that God would provide believers in Arabia with opportunities to share the story of Noah and the broader Biblical Narrative with those around them. Ask that the hearts of the people in Arabia would understand and accept the Word, and that He would remove any barriers or preconceptions that may prevent them from fully grasping the beauty and depth of God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. Pray that, through the witness of these believers, many in Arabia will come to know Him as their personal Lord and Savior.

True Peace
"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ..." -Romans 5:1 ESV

Viewpoint: "I want you to know that Muslims are not all like the terrorists you see on TV," Sara told her Christian friend. "Islam is a religion of peace and love." Sara, like many other Arabians, desires peace and shows kindness to both Muslims and non-Muslims. Like her Christian friend, she longs for an end to the conflicts shaking the Middle East. But what Sara hasn't yet realized is that true peace—both inward and outward—can only be found through the power and work of Jesus. He alone can reconcile humans with God and enable His followers to walk together in unity.
"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ..." --Romans 5:1"For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility....For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit." --Ephesians 1:14,18

Prayer Point:
Pray for the Arabians in this time of turmoil and unrest in the Middle East. We pray that as they long for peace, they would seek the true peace that can only be found in Jesus.
Ask that God would open their hearts to the love and reconciliation that comes through a relationship with Him. May His peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Who are they really?
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. - Proverbs 31:30 ESV

Viewpoint: Fran was apprehensive when she first saw the Arabian couple moving in next door. Fran knows and loves people from many cultures, but in this case, she wondered whether she could ever relate to the stern-looking man and the lady covered in black. One day, Fran passed by the couple outside and decided to say hello. To her surprise, they stopped to chat for a few minutes. The man mentioned that his wife would like to practice her English. The lady didn’t say much, but Fran could see from her eyes that she was smiling behind her veil. Fran offered to help and received an invitation to visit. When Fran finally sat down with her neighbor Aisha face to face, she realized that they had much more in common than she’d expected. Fran and Aisha meet every week. As their relationship has developed, Fran has had multiple opportunities to share the Gospel and describe how her faith in Christ has impacted her life.

Prayer Point: Half of the Arabian population is female. To Westerners, these women in black robes may seem distant and unknowable. However, they share many of the same hopes, dreams, loves, and fears as women everywhere. *Pray that God will enable believers to share Christ’s love and truth with Arabian women wherever they are. *

The Royal Family

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the Christ Jesus… 1 Timothy 2:1-5

Viewpoint: We have been sharing with you the many changes that have taken place in the Arabian Peninsula. Some of the changes that have come about affected women and their rights and their freedoms, some of these changes have to do with the religion. These changes are coming about because the people of the AP want change, but also the Ruling families/Royal families want more tourists to come to their countries.

Rumors have spread over the years about allowing other religions into different countries in the AP. The Ruling families/Royal families have had many meetings with leaders of religions. But changes for religious freedom come slowly, as focus goes to advancements for women making changes to attract tourists and other things in their kingdom/country. For Christianity to be allowed in the Arabian Peninsula and for the Gospel to spread throughout the AP and onto the Middle East and beyond, the Royal families/Ruling families need to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The Crown Prince of Saudia Arabia bought a $450 million Leonardo da Vinci painting of Jesus Christ, titled "Savior of the World," not because he believed that Jesus is the Savior but because it was an expensive painting. Believers need to be sent to the Royal families/Ruling families and share with them who Jesus is.

Prayer points: Pray that God will call believers to go to Royal families/Ruling families in the AP, that they will accept that call, and they will share with Royal families/Ruling families who Jesus is.
Pray that Royal families/Ruling families in the AP, will hear the Gospel, accept it, and believe it.
Ask that soon the AP will be open to Jesus, the Gospel will spread throughout the Gulf, and Mecca and Media will become holy cities for Jesus.

Seeking
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” - Matthew 7:7-8 ESV

Viewpoint: In many Arabian Peninsula nations, everything is overseen by a ministry—education, health, tourism, entertainment, and so on. A few years ago, one Gulf country staged a concert featuring American performers and invited the public, men and women alike, to attend. A young local woman danced at the event (see video). Like people everywhere, she and her compatriots seek enjoyment—TV, social media, concerts—but often overlook a relationship with God, searching for fulfillment without turning to the one true Creator. Shortly after the video went viral, the woman was arrested for “disrupting social etiquette.” Thus, even as Arab states open to the world, they continue to impose restrictions to keep citizens aligned with prevailing religious norms.

Prayer points: As Arabians continue to seek for things that will satisfy them, please pray that they will desire to seek and find the one true God. Also as more Arabian countries are trying to open to the rest of the world, ask that God will open doors for religious freedom.

Ramadan Cal 2026
Pre-Ramadan

“Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!” - Psalm 96:2-3 ESV

Viewpoint: The beginning of Ramadan starts around February 18th this year. Because Muslims use a lunar calendar for the months. So, Ramadan is the name of one of their months. During this month, Muslims not only fast during daylight hours; but also focus on prayer and reading the Qur'an. Will you join us in praying daily for the Arabian people throughout Ramadan, asking God to set them free from Islam and open their eyes to His true character and work through Jesus Christ?

Prayer points: Pray that as Arabians and Muslims worldwide prepare for Ramadan, God will prepare their hearts and minds to receive Him. Pray that as Muslims desire to seek God and grow closer to Him, God will reveal Himself to them, through Jesus Christ. Pray that followers of Jesus will have many opportunities during Ramadan to share who Jesus is.

The month of Ramadan will begin next week. You'll receive weekly posts just like normal, but if you would like to get the prayer calendar, which will have daily prayer requests you can email us at [email protected] and we’ll send it to you. Or you can find it on our website as well Saudiviewpoint.com

Social Media Outreach Opportunity

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. - John 14:6 ESV

Viewpoint: The number of people using social media across the Arabian Gulf is growing. Since COVID-19 it has grown even more. Beyond entertainment and social connections, social media is also used to explore deeper issues. Many are dissatisfied with their religion, with the political situations in their countries, or with social issues. It can be dangerous to question their societies’ values or belief systems openly, so people are increasingly searching for answers via social media. This trend presents an amazing opportunity for followers of Christ to point seekers to Jesus as the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Ramadan will start around February 17th this year. Ramadan is a month long; it is the time when Muslims fast to try and earn salvation. It is said that during this time Muslims are more open to spiritual conversations. For the most part that is true. It is a great time for Christ-followers to run ads on social media to try and have conversations with Arabians about Jesus, to try and find those that are interested in hearing the Gospel.
One the biggest hindrances to this is not having enough financial support to run ads on social media. They have the resources, they have the ads, they just don’t have the money to be able to run the ads to connect with the Arabians. Would you take some time this week and prayerfully consider partnering with these Christ-followers to reach Arabians with the Gospel through social media?

Prayer Point: Pray that many Muslims during Ramadan will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, in the AP, in the ME, in NAME, in the US, and all over the world. Pray that Christ-followers reaching out to Arabians through social media will find those that are searching for God and they will come to believe in Him through Jesus Christ.

*If you feel led to help with this project please email us at [email protected] and we will send you the information on how you can be a part of this. *

Internet and Social Media
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. – Matthew 6:33 ESV

Viewpoint: Moza has been asking a lot of questions lately. Her Islamic education taught her that Christians are immoral and idolatrous, and that their book has been changed. But lately she has begun to wonder what Christians really believe. Now, instead of watching soap operas in the evenings, she searches websites and chat rooms. What she has found suggests that followers of Jesus experience a hope and peace that she has never found in Islam. She is hungry to know more about Jesus and the Bible.

Prayer Point: Many Arabians use social media to connect with one another and with Christ followers. Pray that God will use the internet and social media to reveal the Gospel to Arabians and to connect them with believers who can point them to Jesus.

Call to Prayer

“‘And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Matthew‬ 6:6

Viewpoint: The adhan, or call to prayer, is broadcast five times a day from mosque loudspeakers, affirming the oneness of God and the prophethood of Muhammad. It summons Muslims to prayer, where they recite Quranic verses and perform physical movements, seeking to accumulate good deeds and earn a greater reward in the afterlife.

Prayer Points: Pray for the people of the Arabian Peninsula, that as they seek redemption and forgiveness, God would reveal Himself to them in a powerful and personal way through Jesus Christ. Ask that believers in the region be reminded to pray for their Muslim neighbors as they hear the call to prayer, and may they be filled with boldness and compassion to share the good news of Jesus. May their lives demonstrate God's transformative power, inspiring others to seek Him.

You've probably heard of the “snowball effect” where something seemingly small starts changes that eventually become uncontrollable. , , , & even marketing campaigns can work this way.
