And Púlpito Fellows Cohort 6 has truly been a birthing experience.

From the beginning of this year, we have been praying, planning, discerning, adjusting, waiting, and trusting that what was being formed would come forth in its appointed time.

And look at God… here we are in the 9th month of the year, and Cohort 6 is HERE! 🙌🏽

There is something so meaningful about welcoming this group after all that it took to get to this moment. What we have been carrying, preparing for, and anticipating is no longer just an idea or a plan, we can finally see the faces of the Fellows who will journey together in this next chapter.

Last night, we officially welcomed Cohort 6, and our heart is full. ❤️

We are excited for the conversations, the stretching, the relationships, the preaching, the formation, and everything God will do in and through this community over the weeks ahead.

Digital platforms give us numbers for almost everything. Views, likes, shares, saves, comments, followers. Those numbers can teach us about our audience, while Jesus gives us another measure to consider: fruit.

Ask what your message is producing in the people who receive it. Is it creating hope? Inviting reflection? Encouraging someone toward Jesus? Helping people see Scripture, justice, and their neighbor differently? That is the kind of impact worth cultivating.

As you enter digital spaces this week, create with purpose. Plant something worth growing.

Our theology eventually shows up in how we treat people.

Faith reaches beyond what we confess with our mouths. It takes shape in how we respond to suffering, how we make room for people, how we pursue justice, and how we choose love when love requires something from us.

May our lives become living evidence of the Gospel we proclaim. May people experience the compassion, courage, mercy, and justice of Jesus through the way we show up in the world.

We equip and support courageous preachers who are willing to confront injustice, speak to the suffering of our communities, and proclaim a Gospel that is meaningful for the world we are living in right now.

Some of the deepest spiritual growth happens when we become better listeners.

Listening creates room for wisdom. It helps us hear the experiences of people whose stories differ from our own, recognize what is happening within our communities, and discern how God may be calling us to respond.

There is power in knowing when to speak, and there is wisdom in knowing when to listen. May we become people who practice both with courage, compassion, and grace.

How many sermons are sitting in your camera roll?

Maybe you've recorded the video, rewritten the caption, or convinced yourself you'll post it next week. Meanwhile, people continue searching for truth in the same places where misinformation spreads every day.
