"The Lord is over many waters."

Each Easter in Collegedale, Tennessee, my family volunteers in the SonRise Resurrection Pageant, portraying Passion Week in interactive drama and culminating with Christ's definitive victory at His resurrection.

There is frequently concern about the weather forecast. It is an incredible thing to see, year after year, the forecast miraculously changing at the last minute. Storms have blown around us. It has rained everywhere nearby, while the pageant route remains relatively dry. Indeed, "the Lord is over many waters." It is a powerful reminder that God uses His resources, not ours, when we tell His story to our community.

Yet this year, God did not part the waters. He allowed it to rain. And by His grace we ran the pageant, outdoors, in the rain. Was the Lord still over the waters? Of course. This year, we saw that even when God does not part the waters, the I AM, Immanuel, is WITH us IN the waters.

We didn't do it by our strength. The Lord gave strength to His people. He blessed us with peace. And thousands came to hear the story of Jesus.

"Give unto the Lord the glory due His name."

For one young man, a journey closer to God meant a prayer for other young men to walk with him in it. For John-Augustus, this prayer was answered.
