Man Looks at the Outside, but God Sees the Heart

An oak tree fell and split in two at a certain governor’s mansion during a recent hurricane, days after a hate crime was committed against three people. When God puts a certain leader in a position of authority, it is for the good of all the people.

Many in leadership positions have forgotten why they went into government. A leader is to serve all of the people and be an example to the ones whom God has put you he or she in charge of. That includes the downtrodden, the rich, the homeless, the immigrant, etc. It is not to become proud and lord it over them. Oak means proud.

Moses was a humble leader who led the Israelites into their Promised Land. May we humble ourselves before our Creator and learn from Him, the best servant Leader.

Sin is Crouching at the Door But We Must Master It

There is only one race, the human race. I know we use the word racism, but we should replace it with hatred, because there is only one race. All of us are created in the image of God. We may have different shades of melanin and different features, but we are all created by our Heavenly Father.

Our fore parents, Adam and Eve sinned and disobeyed God and passed sin onto all of us. The first murder occurred between two brothers, who had the same parents and looked like each other. One brother was jealous of the other and let hatred grow and develop in his heart. God saw what was happening and warned Cain that sin was crouching at the door, but he should master it. However, Cain didn’t heed God’s warning. He allowed the enemy to overcome him. He did not resist him and the evil thoughts he placed in his mind. Cain sinned and killed Abel. “…but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.” James‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

It’s the same thing that is happening today. Jealousy, pride and hatred are at the root of prejudice and murder. Some feel that a group of people should not be prosperous; some are prideful and think that they are better than others. God has provided enough resources for everyone on earth and He has a plan and a purpose for all of us.

We see it played out in our politics today. People who don’t win elections are full of jealousy, hatred and envy. Instead of them congratulating the other and moving on, they become like Cain, filled with hatred and jealousy for their brother. God warns us sin is crouching at the door but we have to master it.

The only way we can have power over sin is to humble ourselves before God, repenting of our sins and asking Jesus into our hearts. Only then can we be empowered by the Holy Spirit to resist sin and the devil and learn how to love ❤️ each other.

“Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand—”
‭‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The Emergency Management Agency in Maui, Hawaii failed to sound the alarm to alert the residents of the 🔥 fire emergency. When questioned by reporters, the head of the agency said he did not regret the decision not to sound the alarm because the alarm would not have saved the people who died. He resigned yesterday.

His job was to sound the alarm and he failed to do so. How many people could have heard the alarms and fled to safety? Our job as believers is to sound the alarm, to warn the people of the Day of the LORD. It’s appointed once for every man to die and to face the judgement. The end times are upon us.

God has provided a place of safety and that place is only found in the ark of Jesus Christ. Now is the time to get into the ark of Jesus Christ if you are not saved. John 3:16-17. It is the only place of safety from the fiery judgments to come.

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.” John‬ 3:36

Do Not Drift Off Course

“This is why it is so crucial that we be all the more engaged and attentive to the truths that we have heard so that we do not drift off course.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Jesus encourages us to stay the course and not drift off and go into dangerous territory. Drift means to be slowly carried by a current of air or water. There are so many currents that can make us drift away from God. There are currents of offense, busyness, distractions, divisions, the deceitfulness of riches, the love of money, demands from our jobs, the wrong teachings, the temptations from the world, tribulations and trials, etc.

We have to constantly keep our focus on God and His Word, lest we drift. In Revelation 2, Jesus evaluated the church in Ephesus. They were doing all the right things, yet they had drifted from their first love, Jesus. Jesus told them that they had fallen because they had forsaken Him their first love. He encouraged them to consider how far they had fallen, repent and do the things they did at first. If they did not repent, He would remove their lamp stand.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

The LORD is With Us When We are With Him

He went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭15‬:‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

King Asa brought great reform to Judah. For a long time Israel was without the true God, without a priest to teach and without the true law. King Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord his God. He removed the foreign altars and the high places, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. He commanded Judah to seek the LORD, the God of their ancestors, and to obey his laws and commands.

God gave Judah victory over the Cush*tes because the southern kingdom had repented and returned to their God. When we are with God, He will be with us to give us victory over our enemies. But if we turn away from God and forsake Him, then we get ourselves in trouble.

“In those days it was not safe to travel about, for all the inhabitants of the lands were in great turmoil. One nation was being crushed by another and one city by another, because God was troubling them with every kind of distress.” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

But when we turn to God and repent and seek Him, we will be found by Him.

The Lord God has need of thee.

In Mark 11, Jesus sent two of his disciples to untie a young donkey or c**t and to bring it to him, so that he could ride into Jerusalem. No one had ever ridden on this c**t. Jesus also told his disciples to tell anyone who asked why they were untying the c**t, to tell them that he had need of the c**t and that he would send it back soon.

Jesus needed the c**t to fulfill the prophecy found in Zechariah that the Messiah would ride into Jerusalem on a donkey. “Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O Daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King (Messianic King) is coming to you; He is righteous and endowed with salvation, Humble and unassuming [in submission to the will of the Father] and riding on a donkey, Upon a c**t, the foal of a donkey.”
‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭9‬:‭9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Similarly just as Jesus needed the c**t to ride into Jerusalem to show that he is the Messiah, he needs us to proclaim that he is the Messiah, the Christ, the Son of the Living God. We are the mouth pieces, the hands and the feet of Jesus, called to show the love of God to the broken and the broken hearted. Jesus saved us to do good works. “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Jesus has called some of us into the five fold ministry, some to be missionaries, some to be managers, some to be leaders in the government, some to be in business, some to be physicians, some to be husbands, wives and parents, some to be educators, some to be foster parents, etc. The Lord has need of thee.

Note that the young c**t was tied up when Jesus had need of it. But Jesus told his disciples to untie it. Jesus will untie us too from any thing holding us back from fulfilling the work which He has called us to. The Lord has need of thee.
