Look at those wonderful bad girls from KUMC doing good things!

This group from Kirkwood UMC calls themselves the “Bad Girls of the Bible,” but they’re doing a whole lot of good! Last month they hosted a donation drive and collected kitchen essentials like microwaves, crockpots, and toasters for families in need. Thank you, Bad Girls❤️

We had a great time celebrating our Summer Kick-off this past Sunday with a hot dog lunch, yard games, time together, and of course, ice cream! We are so grateful for everyone who made it and look forward to others joining at our next event.

Every story is part of God’s greater story — even the ones that go untold, unheard, or unseen.

In our upcoming sermon series, we’ll explore how God’s presence is revealed through the art of film and stage, reminding us that every narrative carries meaning and ultimately belongs to Him.
Throughout this series, we’ll also share stories of God at work in our everyday lives. And we’d love to include yours! Where have you seen God moving in your life?

Interested in joining Kirkwood UMC? You don't have to be an official member to participate in KUMC's ministries -- you are always fully welcome here just as you are! But sometimes saying an official "YES!" to a churchcommunity and hearing the church say "YES!" back to you can be a meaningful next step in faith. KUMC's next
membership is coming up on Sunday, June 14.

Life can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to walk through it alone. Stephen Ministers are caring, trained members of our church family who walk alongside those facing grief, divorce, illness, job loss, and other difficult seasons. Their support is confidential, compassionate, and rooted in faith.

If you’d like to learn more or connect with a Stephen Minister, reach out to Pastor Katie, Pastor Kyle, or stop by the Front Desk

The story of Tabitha reminds us that God often shows up through the gift of each other. Tabitha cared for widows with her own hands, stitching love into every tunic. And when she died, that same community refused to let her story end. They washed her body, held her memory, and sent for help. They called Peter because they believed resurrection was possible — not alone, but together.

When Peter arrived, the widows showed him the garments she had made — her legacy of love. And when he prayed beside her, Tabitha opened her eyes and got up.
Church is meant to be that kind of place — where we show up for one another when life feels overwhelming, lonely, or frightening. Where we remind each other to ask for help. Where we send for help when someone can’t ask for themselves. Where we hold one another through the darkest moments and urge each other toward life again.

If you need care, ask.
If you see someone hurting, reach out.
This is how resurrection continues among us.
