Some folks are saying it takes them over a week to eat one of these Athena Cantaloupe. I am able to eat half in one sitting for breakfast. These babies are $5ea. This week at the Vienna Farmers Market NY and Hamilton Farmers Market NY, for only $20, you can get 5 of them. That's one for FREE!

🇺🇸 FRESHCONNECT CHECKS FOR VETERANS — THIS THURSDAY AT THE VIENNA FARMERS MARKET! 🇺🇸

With grocery prices being what they are today, every little bit helps — and we are proud to do our part to support our Veterans, their families, and our community.

This Thursday, Rowe Wheeler from the New York State Department of Veterans' Services will be at the Vienna Farmers Market distributing FreshConnect Checks to eligible Veterans and military families! 🌽🍅🥕🥦

In collaboration with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, Veterans Benefits Advisors are offering FreshConnect Checks to:

🇺🇸 Active Duty members
🇺🇸 Veterans and their dependents
🇺🇸 Un-remarried surviving spouses of Veterans
🇺🇸 New York State employees who are Veterans and their immediate family members

A few things to know:

⭐ FreshConnect Checks can be used for fresh produce and other eligible food items at participating farmers markets and farm stands throughout New York State.

⭐ Checks are distributed by Veterans Benefits Advisors on a first-come, first-served basis.

⭐ The FreshConnect season generally runs from July through December.

⭐ There is a limit of one booklet of checks per household.

And you can put those FreshConnect Checks to work right here at the Vienna Farmers Market!

We also encourage Veterans to visit two area farm stands that participate in FreshConnect and support our community:
