Statement of Faith of Kirbyville Full Gospel Ministry
We believe the following to be the foundational truths and doctrines upon which Kirbyville Full Gospel Ministry stands, all rooted in the infallible Word of God:
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, are the verbally inspired Word of God. They are inerrant in their original writings, entirely trustworthy, and constitute the complete, infallible, and the only authoritative rule of faith and conduct for the Christian life. We believe that God's Word is eternally true and sufficient for all matters of doctrine, correction, and training in righteousness.
The One True God and the Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. These three persons are equal in every attribute, executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption and in the Godhead, which we understand as the Holy Trinity.
The Deity and Work of Jesus Christ
We believe in the full deity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, existing in hypostasis. He is both fully God and fully man.His life included a virgin birth, a sinless existence, miracles, and a sacrificial death for the atonement of sin. We also believe in His resurrection, ascension, and future return including the pre-tribulation rapture. Cleansing from sin comes through His blood and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
Water Immersion Baptism
Christian water baptism is a scriptural command for believers who have repented and accepted Christ. We believe in full immersion in water in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This symbolizes the believer's identification with Christ's death and resurrection to new life.
Salvation and the Full Gospel
Salvation is a gift received by grace through faith in Christ's finished work on the cross. The "full gospel" includes not only salvation but also physical healing and empowerment for service through Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
The Church and Ministry
The Church consists of all true believers and is expressed in local congregations. Believers are called to live holy lives, use spiritual gifts, and participate in evangelism, discipleship, and compassionate service extending beyond the four walls of the Church building.
