Save the Cowboy Save the Cowboy is a ministry aimed at spreading the values and teachings of Jesus through the lens of the working ranch cowboy. Who is Kevin Weatherby?

Save the Cowboy reaches the western lifestyle community through weekly sermons, podcasts, videos, and social media. What exactly is Save the Cowboy? We are a 501c3 Non-Profit Religious Organization that introduces the Good News through the life of the working ranch cowboy. We do this through social media, speaking engagements, STC's Long X Ranch, philanthropy, and feeding the hungry. The cowboy va

lues of Courage, Honor, Respect, Integrity, Strength, and Truth are vastly needed in today’s world of materialism and selfishness. Save the Cowboy has a working cattle ranch in Kiowa, Colorado where we teach and promote the agriculture industry and introduce people to what it truly means to be a cowboy. The beef that the ranch raises is supported by our Long X Ranch monthly donators, where 100% of the donated funds goes towards the ranch operations to feed the hungry, one package of high-quality beef at a time, and help change lives. If you would like to find out more about becoming a LXR Cowboy, visit: www.savethecowboy.org and click "Become A Long X Ranch Cowboy." Kevin is the founder and preacher of Save the Cowboy, which he started in 2011. A lifelong cowboy himself, Kevin grew up in rural Texas and understands the challenges of modern-day ranch life. He preaches about faith, integrity, and resilience, often using real-life cowboy stories that his audience can relate to. His hard work has gained a following among rural and ranching communities, becoming one of the most recognized names in cowboy ministry in the Unites States. The reason for that is Kevin's messages from God appeal most to those seeking a rugged, and more relatable approach to Christianity. Because of this, Weatherby's success with the Save the Cowboy ministry, has quickly turned into an online following of over 200,000 with 7,000 weekly watchers of his sermons, also including the in-person attendance in Kiowa each week. We'd love for you to become one of them and ride along with us. Save the Cowboy also supports two missionary organizations: An orphanage in Mexico and a school in Guatemala. There are four ways you can get involved with Save the Cowboy.

1. Be actively involved in our online ministries
Every time you like, comment, or share, you are helping us spread the word of God. Join us live on FB every Sunday morning at 9:30 am MST to hear Kevin Weatherby encourage, motivate, and give you the God's honest truth about how you can become who God wants you to be. You can download our mobile app
iPhone https://appsto.re/us/cS2H-.i
Android http://bit.ly/2laeMEf

2. Come see us in person
We invite you to come ride with Kevin Weatherby and the Long X Ranch cow boss, Ty Weber. Bring your horse and help out on the ranch and stay for a Sunday clinic. You will make friendships that will last a lifetime. For more info, email [email protected]

3. Go on a vision trip to Mexico or Guatemala
We don't call it a mission trip. We call them vision trips because your heart cannot feel what your eyes do not see in person. Every cowboy and cowgirl that goes on one of these vision trips comes back with a clearer picture of their own lives and just how much giving to someone in need fills the need inside of us. For more information on a vision trip, email [email protected].

4. Be a financial giver
I'm just going to be honest in case you didn't know...size matters. Not the size of the donation, the size of your heart. We rely 100% on the donations of cowboys and cowgirls to help change lives. Founder Kevin Weatherby has written 9 books and all the proceeds from 8 of the books goes directly to the ministry. The other went to help his family adopt two special needs children. Every dollar that comes into Save the Cowboy goes towards the outreach ministry, Long X Ranch, orphanage, and school. You can change a life here: https://pushpay.com/pay/savethecowboy

Pierced hands and feet. Soldiers throwing dice for His clothes. Written 700 years before Rome ever invented crucifixion. Those soldiers were following a script they'd never read — nothing about the cross was an accident.

"I am not a footnote. I am what it's all about." On the road to Emmaus, Jesus opened the Scriptures and showed that every sacrifice, every prophet, every promise pointed straight at Him.

When Abraham raised the knife over Isaac, it felt like the end. It wasn't — it was the opening act. God never promised things wouldn't be scary. He promised they'd be okay.

The Story of God: Why You Can’t See What’s Right Beside You | Week 8 | Save the Cowboy

Two men riding away from Jerusalem. Everything they believed in had just been nailed to a cross and buried. They weren’t angry. They weren’t falling apart. They just rode — quiet, straight ahead, jaw set — away from the place where the dream died.

And the man they were grieving fell in alongside them.

In Luke 24, Jesus spends seven miles proving from the Scriptures that everything that happened on Friday was never an accident. It was a story God had been telling since the beginning — written in the near-sacrifice of Isaac, declared in a synagogue in Nazareth, and recorded in a prayer David wrote a thousand years before it was prayed.

This week in The Story of God, we open three scriptures with Jesus on that road:
— Genesis 22: A sacrifice is required
— Isaiah 61: The mission declared
— Psalm 22: The cost paid

And we land on the one thing that changes everything:

You don’t have to see it to believe it. But you have to believe it before you can see it.

“Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The only way to beat them is to be better than them. This looks like you are defeated to those in the world, but in heaven, you’re mighty.

But we can hear the words: “Y’all just think you’re better than everyone else.”

We’d better be better than everyone else. Not worth more, but in righteousness.

We should be better at spreading the Truth.

We should be better at loving.

We should be better at forgiving.

We should be better about living in peace and joy.

We should be better at abiding.

But better is harder. Remember that.

Because if not, you’re no better off than everyone else.

3 Ways to Turn Stumbling Blocks Into Stepping Stones

1. Triggers
When something triggers you, that is where you don’t trust God completely. Triggers are about control. Christianity is about submission.

2. Don’t try harder, practice more
You don’t get better at roping by trying harder two or three more times and then quitting. In Christianity, practice does indeed make perfect…eventually.

3. Don’t work so hard on your weaknesses that you never use your strengths.
After years of trying to change all my weaknesses without much success, I started giving God my strengths and worked in my strengths instead of doting on my weaknesses. And I’m stronger for it today.

How do you turn obstacles into stepping stones?
