Today's Word:
"Humbleness and Kindness Goes a Long Way"

In the story "A Christmas Carol," we learned of the character named Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge was one grumpy and selfish person, but was one of the richest individuals that lived in the town. But when the Ghosts from the Past, Present, and Future took him on a journey and showed him the error of his ways, and also what his life would be like if he continued to be the way he was, Scrooge began to show a sense of humbleness and kindness towards people.

Sometimes, we get so caught up in ourselves, our wealth/wordly possessions or even our current situations, that we often don't realize that we have accountability issues, to the point where God will have to send people and/or situations your way to show you and correct you on the errors of your ways.

2 Chronicles 7:14 states that "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Proverbs 16:18-19 also states that "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. [19] Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud."

I would rather humble myself than to have God do the humbling! Remember--WARNING comes before DESTRUCTION!
