Immanuel Baptist Church

Immanuel Baptist Church We seek to love God above all else and let His love flow through us to others. We hope that if you are in the area you will join us for worship.

We believe the greatest way to love others is by helping them follow Jesus as His disciples. Our desire as a local expression of the Body of Christ is to honor and magnify the Lord Jesus Christ as the only Savior and Ruler of the world. Our goal is the same goal of God in the world; that "in everything He [Jesus Christ] might be preemeinent" (Colossians 1:18). We have no other hope of salvation or

joy in this life or the life to come except that which is Christ Himself (Philippians 1:21). Our desire is to make disciples of Jesus who want to extend God's grace to others. Come and check us out and find out more about God's glory and His grace in Jesus. We would love to get to know you and for you to know and love God.

The Church isn't just a building or a Sunday ritual. It's meant to be the fullness of Christ reflected in our lives every day.

Are you a clear, calm lake reflecting God's glory? Or is your surface rippled with worldly distractions?

Remember: The world is watching. What do they see in your reflection?

'That they may be one just as we are one... that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them as you have loved me.' - John 17:22-23

The paradox of Christ experiencing both intense sorrow and joy as He faced the cross mirrors Paul's description of being "sorrowful, yet always rejoicing." This reminds us that joy and sorrow can coexist in the Christian life. Where do you see glimpses of joy in your current struggles? How might focusing on the "joy set before you" (eternal hope in Christ) change your perspective on present difficulties? Take time to thank God for specific blessings, even in the midst of challenges.

Proclaiming God's Glory
Read: Psalm 145
This psalm is a beautiful declaration of God's character and deeds. The psalmist commits to praising God daily and passing on the stories of His mighty acts to future generations. As you read, consider how you've experienced God's goodness, compassion, and faithfulness in your own life.

What stories of God's work could you share with others today?

How might a habit of continual praise transform your outlook and relationship with God?

God's goodness is never changing. He never does anything wrong, and He never tries to make us do wrong. Instead, every good and perfect gift comes from Him.

Think about the good things God has given you. Maybe it’s your family, friends, food, home, or even peace in your heart.

Remember, even in difficult times, God never changes. He is working for your good, refining your faith, and drawing you closer to Him.

What are some good gifts God has given you?

Hypocrisy in Prayer: Jesus' teaching on forgiveness challenges us to examine our hearts for hypocrisy in prayer. It's easy to ask God for mercy while harboring unforgiveness towards others. The parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector reminds us that God values a humble, contrite heart over self-righteousness. As you pray today, invite the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas of hypocrisy in your life. Are there ways you're expecting God's grace for yourself while withholding it from others?

How does Jesus' prayer in Gethsemane ('not my will, but yours be done') challenge and inspire us in our own prayer lives? What child comes to their parent asking what they want to do? How does this impact how we relate to our Father?

Prayer isn't about twisting God's arm to do our will; it's about aligning our hearts with His purposes. Paul encourages us to have the same mindset as Christ Jesus, who humbled himself in obedience to God. Today, ask God to transform your mind and heart. What attitudes or perspectives need to change for you to be more in tune with God's desires?

"Your kingdom come, Your will be done" - Jesus teaches us to surrender our will to God's. This prayer isn't about decoding secret plans, but aligning our hearts with God's purposes. It challenges us to bring heaven to earth, starting with our own lives
