Annual Conference begins tomorrow! This annual gathering is an opportunity for United Methodists in NC to worship together, share stories of effective ministry, and tend to administrative business.

This year is especially exciting because the conference is celebrating 70 years of ordaining women and because our very own Pastor Kim will be ordained!

You can view the livestream here. The Ordering of Ministry Service begins on Saturday at 11:00.

Watch AC 2026 Watch a recording of the Briefing Session for key updates and info ahead of Annual Conference.

Each year, United Methodist Churches in NC (plus one in S.C. and one in Va.) collect needed items for the Christians of Armenia. QS members and guests learned from Nara Melkonyan, who has headed Project Agape since 1997, how these meaningful gifts are distributed and used. Armenia was the first country to adopt Christianity as the state religion in the year 301! Nara outlined the long history of suffering for this land-locked country: wars, genocides, a major earthquake, economic collapse after the fall of communism in the former U.S.S.R., prejudice from neighboring countries, etc. After viewing photos and videos of mothers and children receiving their gifts, those present gained more enthusiasm for our Project Agape autumn mission than ever before! Queen Street began sending aid to Armenians during the 1920s.

Tomorrow we are celebrating Pentecost and the gift of the Holy Spirit!

Remembering that scripture described it like fire, you may celebrate by wearing red, orange or yellow.

And we hope you’ll linger for a bit after worship for our dessert reception. 🔥🕊️

Lee Holder visited residents at Cypress Glen in Greenville last week to teach about the Holocaust through the life of Gizella Gross Abramson. We look forward to our friends at Cypress Glen visiting QSUMC and touring the Abramson Center soon.
