A viewer sent in this picture of a bear wandering around the Bearden area in Knoxville last night. It's the latest spotting of bears in more urban areas, something on the rise during this time of year.

All are invited to celebrate Pentecost on Sunday, May 24, at 11:00 a.m. (203 S Kentucky, Kingston TN)

In the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) (PCUSA), and many other denominations, red is worn on Pentecost Sunday to symbolize the fire of the Holy Spirit. This practice is linked to the biblical account in Acts 2:3, where "tongues of fire" appeared over the heads of the disciples after Jesus' ascension, marking the beginning of the Church.

Red represents the power of the Holy Spirit, as well as the fervor and zeal of those who have received the Spirit. It's a visual reminder of the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, empowering believers to go forth and share the Good News. The sea of red in the church is a collective expression of unity and shared faith in the Holy Spirit. [pcusa.org]
