Unitarian Universalism is a religion without a creed, but has a belief each person can find their own spiritual path. Since 1958, our congregation has offered a home for liberal religious seekers in the Kingston area that includes members from surrounding counties. Today, we are a diverse, open and growing religious community. Some of our members are from Christian or Jewish backgrounds, while oth

ers identify with Paganism, Buddhism and other faith traditions. There are humanists, atheists, and agnostics among us, and many who resonate to the insights of poets, mystics and thoughtful human beings across the ages. We are all bound together by the values expressed in our Unitarian Universalist Principles:
1 - The inherent worth and dignity of every person
2 - Justice, equity and compassion in human relations
3 - Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations
4 - A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
5 - The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large
6 - The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all
7 - Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part

This year’s Ware Lecture at General Assembly will feature The Rt. Rev. Mariann Budde — Episcopal Bishop of Washington, D.C., and a nationally recognized voice for compassion, justice, and human dignity.

From speaking out in defense of immigrants and trans children to joining multifaith clergy resisting violence and fear, Bishop Budde’s ministry continues to speak powerfully to this moment. We are honored to welcome her as the 2026 Ware Lecturer.

Join us Saturday, June 20 at 8:00 p.m. EDT as UUs gather online and in person for one of the signature events of GA 2026.

The Ware Lecture is available exclusively to registered GA attendees and is not open to the public.

UU Catskills showed the parole justice film, “The Interview” this past Saturday. Pictured: Katrina Houser (far right) who was the panel moderator.

The 4 guest panelists are associated with New York’s Releasing Aging People in Prison (RAPP) campaign: The director of RAPP, 2 community organizers, 3 who served 25 -38 years. One served 10, going in at age 15 (he was improperly sentenced and finally won his appeal.)

The African Roots Center hosted a dinner for everyone afterwards.

Pride is just around the corner! Join us in Kingston on Saturday, June 6, as we show up—fully, visibly, and together. Each year, what people remember is the sea of yellow shirts: our whole congregation moving as one, a bright and unmistakable witness that love is louder, wider, and stronger than hate. Your presence matters. It always has and it always will.

We’ll start to line up at the LGBTQ center on Wall Street at 11am. The March steps off at noon and ends a half mile away at Academy Green Park where the Festival follows.

And don’t forget your Side With Love shirt!

Let’s fill the streets with courage, compassion, and that radiant yellow we are known for.

Open Doors - Seek Change - Build Community

Join us this Saturday, May 30th at 2:00pm in our UU Catskills Sanctuary at 474 Broadway, Kingston.

"The Interview," a 20-minute film is presented by The New Yorker and sheds light on New York’s unjust parole system and the importance of New York’s Releasing Aging People in Prison Campaign (RAPP.)

This showing is followed by a panel and Q&A time with Hudson Valley residents who have been incarcerated. Hear about why the current parole system needs to change, and consider how the parole system butts up against our core values of Unitarian Universalists.

Bring friends and change hearts and minds. This event is free, donations are welcomed.
