This year's CO Appreciation Day BBQ was close to last year's number of meals served with 263, just shy of last year's record high of 272. heather has been doing a tremendous job as Executive Chaplain since Jim Wilbur stepped down to become full time staff at the facility. God is Blessing!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Wednesday, May 18th, we need more volunteers for our Correction Officers Appreciation Day BBQ.
We serve hot meals off the grill from 7:00 AM till nearly 7:00 PM.
We need help in shifts, usually about 3-4 hours at different times of the day. Grillers, servers, set-up/clean-up, etc. last year we served over 240 meals. Some are third shift hoagies that we make,since we shut down the grill earlier in the evening.

Here is a link to help a local correctional officer from Luzerne County who is in a battle for her life. She has a rare form of cancer that is very aggressive and needs all the help she can get to help defray the costs of care. We care about our C.O.'s because they are on the front lines.
