As I sit here on this lovely Wednesday morning, September 9, I savor a warm cup of coffee while watching the sunrise. The sweet sound of birds chirping fills the morning air. This moment brings to mind the approaching September 11, a day that reminds us of the lives lost who will never experience a morning like this. I can still vividly recall that day when I heard the news of the planes striking the towers. The moment the reality of our nation being under attack sank in, my first thoughts were of my family. Where was my wife? Was she picking up our kids? Were they all safe at home? As the day progressed, emotions ran high, and fear enveloped everyone. Yet, I found comfort in knowing my family was safe at home. My instinct was to pray for the families who lost loved ones and for the health and safety of our nation. This week at church, I spoke with a woman who was a flight attendant for American Airlines. She had asked a couple of her coworkers to switch flights with her, but they declined. Those flights turned out to be flight 11 and flight 77 of American Airlines. Tears filled her eyes as she recounted the pain of losing so many friends. As September approaches, let us remember the families whose loved ones never returned home and pray for a deeper connection with God, seeking true peace in our lives—not the peace the world offers, but the peace that only Christ can provide. May we find our rest in Him and see others through God's eyes, loving them as He loves us. I sincerely pray that each of you grows closer to Christ as we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11. Below are the names of those who lost their lives on flight 11 and flight 77 while working for American Airlines. God bless you all.

At times, receiving messages from God can be thrilling, while at other moments, it may feel daunting. It can also lead to feelings of frustration. However, to truly hear from God, we must first be open to His voice. Life often becomes so hectic, overwhelming, and noisy that we frequently overlook what God is trying to communicate to us. He may be revealing our purpose, guiding us on our path, sharing important insights, and consistently reminding us of His love. Additionally, He may prompt us to connect with certain individuals, show kindness, or share the gospel. These messages can profoundly impact lives, even for eternity.
