Lots of people have denial stories...

I don't have a problem....

It was only one affair......

I'm a control freak, but that's just who I am....

I'm glad I'm not like those people.....

Recovery is only for addicts, not people like me.....

Get the picture?

What's your denial story?

Are you ready to step out of denial and into freedom?

Not Qualified. Ever heard that before? Maybe it wasn't worded so professionally. Maybe it was worded more condemning, like, "Your past makes you unusable".

There are always going to be hypocritical Christians (and non-Christians) who will toss you aside or treat you as if you are less than they are. They like and only serve people who look like them, act like them, and have the same kind of success as them. Anyone falling outside their tiny bubble of what they believe to be the "truth" is cast aside.

We talk of recovery so often as dealing with addiction, but recovery covers hurt as well. I don't know about you, but the words and actions of others have left scars in my spirit.

Do yourself a favor and watch this short video. Learn about the God who uses prostitutes, murderers, and adulterers to spread His message.

Grace without guilt is identification without transformation.

Until we understand and repent of our depravity and fallen state because of sin, we can not truly appreciate the grace God offers.

The addict believes the only person being harmed is themself.

The addict is wrong.

Grieving spouses,

Grieving parents,

Grieving children....

They all share in the addicts journey to self-destruction.

Witnessing their loved one's path to self-destruction then leaves emotional scars that take a lifetime to heal from, if they heal at all.

Praying for all addicts and their families.

It's time for them to get help!
