“Not from Here”
An Out of this World Foggy Valley Comedy
KINGSPORT, TN, July 31, 2025 – The Foggy Valley gang returns to the stage at LampLight Theatre. This farcical troupe of players has etched its way into the fabric of LampLight for about 20 years and nearly 40 episodes. The characters are among theatre goers’ favorites. Each Foggy Valley episode centers around The Goodin Family and their hometown of Foggy Valley. The Goodin Family Funeral Parlor, Taxidermy, Wedding Chapel, and Tanning Beds is the epicenter for all their chaotic scenarios. Their newest production, “Not from Here” will be no different.
In “Not from Here,” Mama Goodin has been watching too much news and too many Facebook reels. So much, that she is convinced that there is an alien invasion taking place in Foggy Valley. Her paranoia has convinced her son, Spoolie, to gather family and friends to The Goodin Family Funeral Parlor. Rev. Clyde T. Humperdink and Clementine Hogg are suspicious of some men in black who seem to be stalking them. The reverend is convinced of Christ’s return before the alien takeover. Geriatric friends, Virgie and Molly, find themselves in the thick of it all. Virgie is hoping to be swept away by a handsome Martian to an alien world, while Molly is hoping for the aliens to return her dead husband, Harold. Mama’s grandniece, Ruthie May, tries to convince them they are all crazy until she starts to see little green men.
Has Mama started a panic for no reason? Who are the men in black? Why are there strange happenings? What about the appearances of little green men? Will Foggy Valley fall victim to an alien invasion, or is there something else to be revealed? Grab your aluminum foil hats and make your way to LampLight Theatre for a night of slapstick comedy and good, clean family fun.
“Not from Here” will be playing August 15th – August 31st. Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays: 7:00 PM, Saturday Matinees: 2:00 PM, Sunday Matinees: 3:00 PM. Admission: Adults: $15, Students: $10, Children 5 and under: FREE
