Sunday we honored our 2026 graduates with a banquet and a Bible presentation.

Thank you so much to all of our volunteers and church family for loving these kids, pouring into them, and showing up for them. Kingsland First Methodist Church is the true embodiment of what Paul wrote about in Thessalonians and Philippians.
You are a church whose faith is famous, whose love is felt, and whose life is an undeniable echo of Jesus.

This group of seniors is so special to us as we have had the majority of them since middle school. They truly do life together. They are incredible humans and we are so so grateful to have had the opportunity to pour the love of Jesus into them. We cannot wait to see where God calls them next.

No Youth this Sunday! Be sweet to your mommas!

MUSTARD SEED FAITH:

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”

I told these rascals I walked by faith, not by sight… and then promptly stapled the bag closed without checking their work for accuracy…. We may or may not have had fo open some of the bags back up 😂

These prayer WARRIORS packed bags for the food pantry and learned about faith as small as a mustard seed. They prayed over a necklace we are sending to our girl Parker.

They are incredible- our God is so faithful.

Yesterday our church held a prayer vigil for one of our middle schoolers (Parker) who is currently fighting for her life in the PICU down in Jacksonville due to sepsis and a bacterial infection in her entire body.

Please continue to pray, she is not in any way out of the woods yet.

Specific prayers for:
Her family as they navigate this and try to eat, sleep, and function.

Her limbs- her body has pulled all of her blood to her organs to protect them, which has left her limbs vulnerable. She has experienced alot of pain because of this.

Her brain- they don't know how far or how much the infection has affected her brain. They are hopeful to know more today.

Blood clots- there is a worry she is having blood clots so an MRI and Xray is scheduled today to check.

Culture results will be back today to determine if the antibiotics are working and what the level of infection is in her body.

Her heart- this has put major strain on her poor heart so they are scheduling an echo sometime tomorrow.

Our God is the creator of the universe, the Alpha and the Omega. We know he is a healer and he hears our prayers. Please join us in storming heavens gates on Parker's behalf.

We will continue to update you all. The church is working on getting a meal train together. If you would like to provide a meal or gift cards for the family to get supper while in the hospital please call the church office for directions on how to do so.

THANK YOU to the community and the churches around us who showed up and pray for our girl with us last night. God is so good.

Last weekend we loaded up the church van and the Moreno bus and took the youth to Rock the Universe. Some people might find that crazy, 20 something youth being set free into the wild wild universe of a theme park.... but never one time did I have a doubt in our youth's ability to make good choices. Not one single doubt.

Let me tell you the reasons for my lack of doubt:

1. Our youth are heavily invested in their bibles. Test them, they will swing for it every time.
2. They are respectful, polite, and kind to one another, the adults in our congregation, and strangers.
3. They don't complain when hard work is required of them. They raised almost every dollar for their in trip. They showed up to every fundraiser and went above and beyond what was asked of them.
4. As they unloaded out of the vans and walked into the park all of them independently looked at their leaders and said, "Thank you for bringing us"
5. We had not one single squabble, bicker, meanness, hurt feelings.... not one single instance of it. They stayed together and they actively facilitated making sure each of the members of their group had the opportunity to do what they wanted to do.

Now let me tell you why I believe they were able to accomplish this:

1. We have incredible youth leaders. I mean that with my entire being. These adults consistently show up, pour in and nurture these kids.
2. The youth know their youth leaders have their backs and they know this because their youth leaders consistently show them regardless of what it is- they will make it happen. Case and point: one of the youth wanted to shop on the last day and to do that she wanted to go clear across the parks to the other side. 2 of her youth leaders trekked over to the other side with her, she looked in the shops for 2 minutes and then decided what she really wanted was in the other park she had just come from. Her youth leaders laughed and then made the trekk back to the other side. NOT ONE SINGLE COMPLAINT from them.
3. All of our leaders have full time jobs, are raising families and some of them are also in college. They still show up.
4. Matthew 7:15-20 reminds us we will be known by our fruits. A bad tree cannot bear good fruit, likewise a good tree cannot bear bad fruit. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. We have INCREDIBLE LEADERS, THEREFORE WE HAVE INCREDIBLE YOUTH.

So, there you have it. A true recipe for success.

One person alone cannot run a ministry, it takes a body and this youth group has a fleet behind them that love them, want to see them grow in the Lord, and will actively pursue that goal.

GOD IS SO GOOD.

Rock the Universe Day Three:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ARIANA!!!!

Also- there’s no tired like third day of Rock the Universe tired.

We cannot say it enough: these kids are incredible. Not one single squabble, attitude, etc. not one. That’s unheard of on a three day youth trip. We recently talked about patience, kindness and self control are a muscle. You have to practice it to get better at it. I’d say they got lots of practice this weekend.
