“However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”

When we take upon ourselves the name of Christ and call ourselves Christians, but live in an ungodly way, we are misrepresenting Christ. In our marriages, husbands are to be self-sacrificial, giving themselves up for the good of their wives. Wives are to be submissive to their husbands. If we aren’t doing these things, we are wrongly representing and destroying the glorious picture of the ordinance of marriage. It is imperative that we live these things out in our marriages so that we grab back hold of the original mission to subdue the world and bring the glory of God to all of creation.
