Our pastors demonstrate expository preaching, going verse by verse presenting the entirety of Scripture. Before delving into a heavy text this past Sunday, Pastor Mike took time to remind us of the perfect goodness of God’s word. It does not always come easy to us to understand how God’s perfect will is carried out in a sin-filled world, but we can rest easy knowing that He is in control and His Word ALWAYS goes forth to accomplish it’s purpose.

All flesh is like grass and all it’s glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.

When we are serving someone, who are we primarily serving? On one hand, all of our actions are opportunities to glorify God. On the other hand, all of our actions are opportunities to glorify the flesh. So we must remind ourselves that we have to pick one. There is no third neutral option and you cannot pick both.

Peace is not maintained by protecting rebellion. Peace is maintained by removing it. As scripture calls and speaks to us in our lives, wisdom leads us not to ignore sin, but to deal with it. One of the greatest lies of our current age is that peace comes through the tolerance of evil. However, scripture repeatedly teaches us the opposite it true. Real peace is found when sin is confronted and removed.

During our recent teaching series through Ephesians 5, a good question surfaced regarding the exact nature of a husband's authority. Someone specifically asked whether a husband functions as a "federal head" over his wife, or merely a "covenantal" one.

This is not a debate over seminary trivia. It is a vital distinction that determines whether a home is governed by the grace of Christ, suffocated by a tyrant playing God, or paralyzed by a man crushed under a weight he was never meant to carry.
