“It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” Rocky Balboa
We fall down but we get up…
What would have happened if Paul hadn’t gotten up from the Damascus road…
Or if Peter had not humbled himself and repented for denying Jesus…
Or what if Noah allowed discouragement to stop the building of the ark?
Or if Moses chose to retire with the sheep in the desert rather than obey God’s call…
Or if Joseph had stayed in prison with the other jailbirds? He had a lot of baggage…From spoiled favorite son to the brow beaten little brother… abuse, trauma, abandonment issues … so misunderstood. He could have blamed his brothers and embraced victimhood.
What if David had rebelled rather than repent and face his failure and his sin and fight to get back on his feet. He could have had Nathan executed and no one would have ever known the difference.
We really can choose to surrender and humbly obey His voice or not.
The choice is ours, but the power is his. We fulfill His will IN His strength.
‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.
Don't quit now. Get up and keep moving forward.
Isaiah 6:1-8
1 In the year that King Uzziah died,
Uzziah had ruled Judah for 52 years, bringing stability and prosperity to the kingdom. His death around 740 B.C. marked the end of an era. By this time the Assyrian Empire was rising to power.
“I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.”
God revealed Himself as the reigning King of the universe. His throne was exalted above all earthly power.
..8Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
