McKenzie Shayne Gibson Coleman
McKenzie Shayne Gibson Coleman, 28, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on July 5, 2026. She was born on September 17, 1997 in Kings Mountain and was employed as an MRI technician by Atrium Health. She loved animals, chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate peanut butter ice cream. McKenzie will always be remembered for her big heart, beautiful smile, and headstrong will.
McKenzie is survived by her soulmate and loving husband Noah Coleman, her precious babies Beau and Marlowe Coleman, parents Shane and Karen Gibson, brother Chase Gibson (Laura), nephews Parke and Roper Gibson, parents-in-law Bob and Aimme Coleman, grandmother Betty Roper, grandfather Ken Chapman, special cousin Dana Powell, numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a big group of loving, best, lifelong friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 16, 2026 at 4:00 P.M. at First Wesleyan Church, 505 N. Piedmont Ave., Kings Mountain, NC with Rev. Caleb Williams officiating. The family will receive brief condolences at the church following the service.
MEMORIALS: The family politely requests no flowers or floral arrangements be sent. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to donate to the family in support of Beau and Marlowe may do so.
