Today on Memorial Day, we remember those who have died and entrust them to God’s mercy, that they may enter into light and peace.

May our remembrance lead us to hope in Christ and as we honor sacrifice, may we also renew our commitment to peace.

This Ascension, we celebrate that Jesus’ “departure” is not absence - it is the fulfillment of His mission and a sign of hope for every age.

As the Apostles gazed heavenward, they were reminded: don’t just look - bear witness. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the Church goes forth to preach and to make disciples.

Lord, keep us faithful in prayer and courageous in witness until every nation knows Your love.

Lazarus John Obrock (son of Carter and Kyanne Obrock) made his way into the world and passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026. He was able to spend his short life with his siblings, close family and some great friends, while covered in a beautiful relic of Fr Kapaun’s stole, an intercessor on his and his family’s behalf.
In memory of Lazarus and the beauty he brought to so many people in a short time, the family has chosen daisies to represent his earthly and resurrected life in Christ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 16 at 10 am at St. Patrick Church, Kingman, Kansas.
Memorials have been suggested to the St. Patrick CGS Church Fund in care of St. Patrick Church, 638 W. D Avenue, Kingman KS 67068.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

Today, let us respond simply and faithfully: pray the Rosary, offer small sacrifices in reparation, and ask Mary to help us return to the source of life, Christ our Savior.

Come, Mary: walk with us, strengthen our hope, and lead us closer to Jesus.

Happy Mother’s Day! Today we thank God for the women who give life, tenderness, and steady courage to their families—and to the Church.

Lord, bless every mother. Renew their strength, reward their love, and fill their homes with peace. Amen.

Kyanne is currently 30 weeks pregnant and her water has broke. Since she will be in the hospital for an uncertain amount of time, let’s help her family and provide some meals to help ease the load.
