Men, today is the day! Join us at 5:00PM tonight at Recreation Area 1 at Hualapai Mountain Park for food, fellowship, and an encounter with God! This is a free event with food provided. All you need to do is get here.

We will be doing worship and prayer tonight. Tomorrow will continue with biblical teaching from several of the Men of Valor from New Life Church.

You're welcome to camp overnight at the rec area. You'll need to bring camping gear and pay the overnight camping fee to the park ($30).

In Hebrews 3-4, the author warns against the hardening of our hearts caused by sin. It is written, "Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. You must warn each other every day, while it is still 'today,' so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God." (Heb. 3:12-13 [NLT])

The author goes on to warn in chapter 4 that the Word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than a double-edged sword and cuts deeply, exposing our innermost thoughts and desires for which we will be held accountable (Heb. 4:12-13).

I know personally how easy it can be to allow unresolved sin and accommodating theology to slowly (and even quickly) drag us off course from the path that God has for our lives, a path of holy living. Before we know it, we are neglecting our spiritual disciplines, our church family, and even God himself. This is a dangerous place to be that can result in our loss of eternal blessing or even spiritual death.

We all need to remain vigilant, be sober-minded, keep our lamps full of oil, abide in Jesus Christ, run the race with endurance and even more importantly... fear God and turn away from evil! I encourage you to also read the book of James. It is five chapters long, but contains a wealth of warning and encouragement to holy living. Pay close attention to chapter 5 where James instructs us to confess our sins to one another and to restore those who have wandered from their faith in God. This requires both humility and boldness, gentleness and firmness, patience and urgency... all rooted in godliness and holiness through Jesus Christ and His Spirit.
