There is only life in being concerned with the things of God and nothing else. Seek to do good and to reflect the nature of God in everything that you do. Chasing after money, material gain, or sinful pleasures will only wear you down and fill you with guilt. None of these things are of eternal value.

Mary was so distressed at the empty tomb, that at first, she didn’t recognize Jesus. Then He said her name and she knew that she was in the presence of her resurrected Savior. Jesus knows and calls each of us by name, too. And He speaks to us the way a dear friend does; with knowledge, understanding, and care. That’s the Jesus that knows us.

What is the key to knowing peace? Trusting God. When we fix our minds on God, we fix our minds on what is reliable and faithful. We no longer rely on our unstable emotions or our limited understanding to manage whatever we face, but on the One who provides all wisdom and understanding. Creation is not the only one groaning for the return of Jesus Christ. The children of God are groaning too in eager expectation of what is to come. The Holy Spirit helps us remain patient and at rest as we contend with the things of this world. Patience is an expression of wisdom. It is never wise to follow whims and emotions because this will lead to even greater problems. When we choose to be patient, it allows us to put all emotional influences at bay, and clearly pay attention to a situation. God is the only one we can turn to who won't let us down. It is through Jesus Christ, the son of God, that we are saved, redeemed, and freed from all bo***ge and captivity. Do you ever think that if you become rich, all of your problems would go away? From today’s verse, we learn that wealth brings its own set of anxieties. Fear of theft and loss can rob a rich person of sleep and peace. But the one who is sustained with daily bread from the Lord rests in comfort, knowing that God meets all of his needs.
