Purpose
The purpose of The Rock Church is to glorify God by building mature Christians in the faith and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ so that they are equipped to do every good work that God has set before them. Vision
The Rock Church is a Christ-centered church serving the Lord as He enables through the power of the Holy Spirit. We will compassionately seek to meet the needs of others through love and service in order to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will be true to the Bible, diligent in study, striving to fulfill the purpose that God calls and we hope to be known for our serving hearts and willing hands. Belief Statements
We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus led a sinless life and died on the cross for our sins and defeated death and rose from the dead three days later. (Romans 10:9)
We believe in the Holy Trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. All three are one but distinct in function. We believe the Bible is God’s Holy Word and is absolute truth from beginning to end. The Bible was given to man by God’s inspiration and there is no error in His word. (2 Timothy 3:16)
We believe salvation is only achieved through Jesus Christ, who died for all our sins. We must accept Jesus in our hearts and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord. (John 1:6)
We believe in water baptism, that once you have accepted salvation through Jesus Christ, your biblical duty is to publicly declare your faith through water baptism. We believe that God can and does perform miracles today. We believe in all the gifts of the spirit as written in the Bible and encourage believers to use the gifts given to them by Jesus Christ. We believe in the sanctity of marriage and that marriage is a life-long covenant between God, one man and one woman. Marriage was designed by God since the beginning. (Genesis 2:24)
We believe Jesus will return and rapture the true church and we will spend eternity with Him in Heaven. We believe that Hell is a very real place reserved for those who reject the gospel of Jesus Christ and that without repentance and belief in Jesus Christ you will spend eternity in Hell.
